No hypothesizing here. I’ve spoken directly to a GPI/Angel sales rep. It’s not like I’m yanking this info out of my ass. I’m putting in an order myself, come hell or high water and it won’t be for profit. Small enough to be personal yet not small enough to eliminate the chances of some very deserving people owning a piece of it. You can screenshot that and send it to wherever and whomever. It won’t change the fact that a crate will arrive at a location that belongs to me. Does it make me any more important than others on this site? Absofuckinglutely not.
not true unfortunately...... that person also has friends who get "looked" after. One offers them up to the public at the same time with the same pricing for all buyers

Also one is deceitful at best and fraud at it's worst and the other is not.The first respects the community and does so with a sense of humility. The latter thinks he just cracked vault for the Fed Reserve and is walking away with gold bars following by being knighted by the queen of England herself for doing so. Just the fact that they made their IPO buyers sign NDA’s is a joke in itself. You’re gonna sue someone for spilling the beans on a duped purchase? Talk about the epitome of stupid lol
let's not pretend that the total profit for the key participants in this buy wont hit 7 figures
Either because getting them made for you has an element of underhandedness to it...why is it that the person who sells a casino's discontinued assets is revered and worshipped yet the person who gets these precious clay discs made one way or another is a considered a villian?
7 figures, really?I respect you Kyle, and I have no dog in this fight (and, in fact, I'm all for more chips in the hobby), but let's not pretend that the total profit for the key participants in this buy wont hit 7 figures and that that profit wasn't a motivating factor for how the chips were acquired and distributed.
You keep talking about NDAs, I have some chips and never heard of, saw, or was asked to sign an NDA, not sure where you’re getting all your info…The first respects the community and does so with a sense of humility. Bringing chips in at modest profit is one thing.... theyre fantasy chips for F&%@ sake $20 a chip?? pleaseCliffsNotes for anybody who can't be bothered to wade through the drama:
Bringing new chips to the community: you're damned if you do — and you're damned if you don't.

I think it is fewer primary actors, buying approx 100K chips, and selling most all of those off privately to folks at nosebleed prices, yes.Seven figures of profit would be, roughly:
10 people, each buying
5,000 chips, each paying
$20 per chip, with all of that going towards profit
Do you think the buy was as large as that?
Yes.7 figures, really?

We all know the insane current market prices for chips and any entity who could get an order through would have to be crazy not to make it a profitable venture. 7 figure profits assume a LOT of chips and participants/investors, given what I’ve seen I would guess this is quite a bit smaller than that, but who knows?I respect you Kyle, and I have no dog in this fight (and, in fact, I'm all for more chips in the hobby), but let's not pretend that the total profit for the key participants in this buy wont hit 7 figures and that that profit wasn't a motivating factor for how the chips were acquired and distributed.
So "Chip Whores" then??I think it is fewer primary actors, buying approx 100K chips, and selling most all of those off privately to folks at nosebleed prices, yes.
Yes.
Lol. Its all an illusion. We have been all convinced as such. I still find it interesting that chippers arent the ones actively pursuing opportunities to acquire discontinued casino chips. We have no idea what goes on behind the scenes to bring those bike tires to market but somehow the same person manages to keep feeding us addicts our drug. They seem to have cracked some code yet dont face the same criticism. The first respects the community and does so with a sense of humility. I "assume" modestly. But I think you under-rep your knowledge, which I think is unfortunate, but perhaps understandable given the position you are in. Let's agree that there were 100K chips in this buy? Let's say the key players kept 10-15K chips for themselves and their close friends (at "reasonable" prices?), and have sold/will sell the rest off at prices ranging from $8-22+ per chip? So what is the average price...perhaps an average price of $12/chip? I think I'm actually being conservative based on what I've read on the threads thus far.We all know the insane current market prices for chips and any entity who could get an order through would have to be crazy not to make it a profitable venture. 7 figure profits assume a LOT of chips and participants/investors, given what I’ve seen I would guess this is quite a bit smaller than that, but who knows?
Do I wish as much as anybody that a 1million chip PCF GB could get done through GPI? Absolutely, unfortunately we all know that can’t happen and until it can interested resourceful parties with the right connections are going to be the only way new Paulsons keep coming into the community. As for people acquiring and selling them it always comes down to selling for maximum profit the market will bear versus a fair price to chippers not on one’s shit list I guess? Which I think is a highly individual decision and varies greatly.
What did I ever do to piss you off Zaki?I think Kyle highly underestimates the number of people who think he’s an absolute dbag but don’t really say it to his face. All you have to do is respect others and not scrutinize people every step of the way. That alone would have made that list a smaller one.
