there must have some reason why they are not used on HSP
 
My best guess would have to do with chip security, gaming regulations, or something to that effect that the $100K chips can't be on a televised set.

I was thinking it might have more to do with TV production ie stacks of cash and piles of “lower denomination” chips would look better on stream/TV than the efficiency of coloring up with just a handful of $100k chips.
 
was going to say the same thing. big stacks are good for tv.

the visual of someone getting all in for a massive amount of money and then casually handing over 2 chips to settle doesn't make for as good tv as having to push stacks and stacks of chips and bundles of cash forward in defeat.
 
Or just why shrink chip stacks when 100k isn’t even necessary? Bundles of 10k in cash are just for show since 5k and 25k chips are on the table

Wouldnt be enough chips like say u got even a million I ccould see u having a couple but thats not how they roll lol 25k a million in chips is obvs only 40 chips so 1k 5k and 25k makes sense

Watch Robs Home Game on PokerGo. Rick Salomon had a few barrels of them and few were on the table. They definitely have been put in play

Ya Robs Home Game played massive. I watched all of it and to date it’s the best show I’ve seen. Lots of cool players there and the commentators killed it. 10/10

1. The real power / management behind HSP is Poker Kings, the China-based poker site. PokerGo just handles the production.

2. The bricks of cash we use are just for show, you can’t unbundle them. They can only be bet as a $50k component. We buy them with chips at the beginning of the show, and sell them back for chips at the end. There can only be a total of 5 bundles at a time on the table.

3. Phil Ivey doesn’t say a single word while playing, but is the absolutely coolest, funniest guy off-table.

4. The entire stream is commentated and shown in China as is, without editing into episodes.

5. Javier’s at aria is the only real food option for meals.

I thought the same until he took the piss out of Brad Owen when he mention Jiggities and jokingly feigned offense at it being “racist”. :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

And there’s that heads up table against Dnegs on shark tank. He was laughing and cracking jokes there.

Hustler was a bad showing for him.

Ivey is the man lol I wish we could watch like China does I am such a poker nerd I would watch it all atleast

I think I found the link for HSP at the Chinese Steam; will take a look after work to see if the latest one is available
