I have a limit set of Silks $1’s and was happy to purchase them if he didn’t, which I was 99 percent sure he would. Anyways, as I understand it, being no spring chicken myself, dibs is a commitment to purchase. That’s what I was doing, whether they ended up in Guam or Massachusetts, guaranteeing to buy them at the states price. Does that make sense?

No it doesn’t make sense to me. It appears you called “dibs” for someone else pending price. My timing was off so it doesn’t matter, but if I stumbled along at the right time between you calling dibs for him pending price and I stated “I’ll take them” would that make me a bad guy?

OK. I see where you’re confused. The original listing had a picture of the Silks quarters, but they were not listed in OP, nor where they priced. The “pending price” was in reference to what the seller wanted for them. Go look up top and see it was edited. I wasn’t checking with anybody except the seller. Once the price was listed, I confirmed that price was acceptable.

I saw the listing first, with a zero minute time stamp. Nobody had a chance, I was trying to help a friend out but I would have been happy to add a fourth rack to my set. F me for trying to be nice.
