Now I’m curious as to who on the forum has the highest set cost (not value!) to initial full buyin ratio. Let’s standardise this to 9 players at 100BBYou are not alone. I have invested $8500 in a set that will primarily be used for $480-$600 total buy-in games.

I don't think but only a few will offer up that number on what they spent on a set, I really don't know myself, just don't keep good enough notesNow I’m curious as to who on the forum has the highest set cost (not value!) to initial full buyin ratio. Let’s standardise this to 9 players at 100BB
Yea all of those inclusions are valid. Just to keep it simple, I personally would just keep it to chips vs 900BB.You are going to find a wide range of answers I think. Some PCFers keep copious notes. Others….not so much.
What about tourney sets? What about accessories (DBs, cut cards, table, chairs, etc)? Other variables?
Set costs vary by purchase. What one person pays for a particular set could be higher or lower than another and be used in higher or lower buy in games. Now I’m curious as to who on the forum has the highest set cost (not value!) to initial full buyin ratio. I think with many chippers it’s more about the experience of playing with nice chips
Isn’t this what brings a solid majority of folks to PCF in the first place? That’s how I found my way here. I don’t ‘collect’ sets. I have a cash set and a tourney set, but stick around to learn more about hosting, accessories, strategy, tourney structures, and of course, memes. The meme game is strong around here.
Something about this statement makes me very happy. A comment about the diversity of the game and the hobby, I guess. The diversity of life.I’ve seen dice chips used in games with over 50k in play on the table.
I’ve also seen high end sets used in games with $500 total in play.
All kidding aside - people find PCF because they think "Hey, are there nicer poker chips out there?" but once they get here they discover the answer is "Yes, and you can spend several mortgage payments buying them."I’m trying to spend $2,000+ on one set of chips. At my game, the initial total buyin is $1,600-$1,800.
Do I stand at the precipice of a mistake?

I would be embarrassed to answer this question………Now I’m curious as to who on the forum has the highest set cost (not value!) to initial full buyin ratio. Let’s standardise this to 9 players at 100BB
Just another young chipper getting inducted into the PCF…….Isn’t this what brings a solid majority of folks to PCF in the first place? That’s how I found my way here. I don’t ‘collect’ sets. Yes, this is me also.i have around $2700 in my set, if we play cash its $0.25/$0.50 cash game. I think maybe less than 10 $25's have been used at all ever for rebuys. The 2 barrels of $100's and one barrel of $500's will never get used, just wanted to have them for the complete set though
