Straight Flush
That's a good question. I don't know what the numbers are for? Mine says #0196. I always keep a $1 chip from every card room I play at. That's really what started my interest in collecting chips.
I'm not a smart man, but maybe they only made 9999 of thoseThat's a good question. I don't know what the numbers are for? Mine says #0196. I always keep a $1 chip from every card room I play at. That's really what started my interest in collecting chips.

We watched that movie last night!! Also peed my pants... again! Lmao

Yours is a lower number that's so cool! Glad to see you kept one! Looks like the edgespots are opposite of the inlay on the one I have too. Singles are so fun lol
Wow didn't even think of that... genius! Why would they do that? To keep track of when they ordered and how many have gone missing from the order? LolMy guess is that they are probably date codes. Mine were probably made in January, 1996, yours are probably from December, 1998. That would also line up with when I was playing there, as it was the late 90s.
According to the guy selling on eBay you are correctMy guess is that they are probably date codes. Mine were probably made in January, 1996, yours are probably from December, 1998. That would also line up with when I was playing there, as it was the late 90s.
Good question. Maybe they wanted to track how long they lasted or something? Look at the different wear patterns over time? I don't know. I can't really think of any "good" reasons to do it other than that though?Wow didn't even think of that... genius! Why would they do that? He says a date code as well, but also claims the solid $1 was made in 98? Did they have 2 different locations?
Good points.. I'll have to think about this one! My other one is the same number as yours, 0196, which makes me think it is a date stampGood question. Another honorable mention. A Silverton variety with an awesome reverse.
I love Silvertons in general for their house mold and bright colors but this one caught me by surprise.

Thanks for the info! The numbers on these Great Canadian chips are the dates the chips were put into play.
I like the Blue $2 version better but RHC and not because it is blue but they have a 5 chip special edition subset of "Hootie and the Blowfish" on one side and the Royal flush fan on the other. But I think that is to be shared in a different thread! LolAnother honorable mention. A Silverton variety with an awesome reverse.

Two racks of the Sands orange $1’s please! Why aren’t orange $1’s more common?!
Is it okay to admit here that I only have one set of chips right now? So this has to be it.
