Longtime recreational poker player, have hosted a home game since 2004, been running regular monthly tournaments since 2008. Bought my first set of custom ASMs in 2012 and have regularly enjoyed browsing through that other chip talk forum until I just now stumbled on this place. Seems a lot more active and current - glad to be here!
I haven't bought new chips since my original custom set, but I'm getting the itch to get ahold of a new set for my bi-weekly sit-n-gos, most likely they will be solid color dayglo clays with hot stamps from CPC.
UPDATE: I guess I have the sickness! Since joining this forum I've bought a whole gang o' chips! Including two versions of the Gemaco Paulsons - a small PCF set in a group buy from Tommy, and a much larger set of "Elites" from Apache. I use both sets together at the same time in my home game - they work just fine together.
My other big purchase was an amazing Sunfly Hybrid WSOP Secondary set from the late great Sal at OWPS. (I also recently was able to acquire more thanks to the classifieds here). I also snagged the cash game chips from Sal's initial run, loosely based on Bud Jones designs.
I am so grateful that I found this place, as chips give me great joy, but my wallet is indeed smarting a bit!
