New Acrylic Rack with Stuck Lids.....How do I open without breaking the unit? (1 Viewer)

So like the title says. I picked up two nice new acrylic racks with lids a while ago. I went to use/open them the other day and they are sealed vacuum shut/tight. I have tried as much brute force as I am comfortable in doing without risking breaking the plastic. Any tricks to get these things apart?

soapy water. it should lubricate it so it can come apart.

I would start by swearing at it.. a lot. Next cool the male side. Heat the female side. Ice cube and blow dryer.

I was going to suggest heating the lid as well, although I was thinking fill a pan or kitchen sink with around 1/2" of hot water, and turn it upside down, so the lid heats up.

Just submerge in hot water for a little while.
