Yes, you read that correctly -- one of the holy grail sets is up for grabs.

The Grand Championship of Poker chips -- a WSOP tribute set produced by BCC on the TFP mold as an 18,000 chip group buy on ChipTalk -- are some of the nicest chips ever produced. Puggy ran the group buy, the chip/spot colors and inlay design were decided upon by the participants, and J5 Design did the artwork.

The GCOP chips are all tourney denominations -- T5 through T250k, just like the original WSOP chips. A complete set of pictures can be found here:

Puggy has decided to split his set; he's keeping 1000 chips for himself (theoretically forever). He decided what to keep and what to sell, and he set the prices ($350 per rack plus $98 shipping from Finland). I am running the group buy for him, in an effort to reduce individual shipping costs for US buyers. This is your chance to own 5% of a beautiful historic set!

There are 900 chips available. Breakdown is:

200 x T5
100 x T25
200 X T100
100 x T500
100 x T1000
100 x T5K
100 x T25K

All chips are priced at $361 per rack, which includes shipping from Finland (but not additional re-shipping costs within CONUS, which will be at actual USPS Priority Mail flat-rate prices plus insurance and signature confirmation, rounded up to the nearest dollar). International sales will require additional shipping costs. All payments will be via PayPal Friends/Family option. , with a 1% fee added to pay for payment transfer costs to Pasi in Finland.

All persons interested in purchasing the entire 900-pc lot for $3248 (with direct shipping from Pasi, no extra shipping charges or money transfer fees) will be entered into a lottery drawing to ensure that everybody who wants them all gets a fair shot at the chips.

UPDATE: There is at least one party who has expressed intent in purchasing the entire 900-chip set. This set will be sold in full, with the actual buyer determined on 11-Feb-2016.

If there are no full-set buyers, chips will be sold by the rack in order of expressed interest here, provided said interest accounts for all 900 chips. No partial rack purchases; if buyers want less than 100 chips, they can combine orders offline to reach the minimum order requirement.

If you are interested in purchasing some or all of the chips, express your interest in this thread only. Requests made via PM/convo will be ignored.

This thread will remain open for one week (for lottery purposes). or until all chips are sold.

Additional GCOP chips:
In addition to Puggy's set above, I have seven additional racks from my personal set that I'm offering at the same time, in case potential buyers want more chips to go with these. There will be 375 x T25 and 325 x T100 chips, priced at $250/rack to group buy participants only. The sale (or non-sale) of these extra chips will not impact the group buy: I may add additional items here, such as extra GCOP dealer buttons, bounty chips, and/or high-denomination ceramic chips.

Full disclosure/transparency:
What's in this for me? Nothing, really. Pasi made me a private offer to buy either the entire set or just the highest denominations, so I accepted his offer for the 50x T100k and 50x T250k chips (not listed here) for my set - which are costing me the same listed price that everybody else is paying. I later offered to run a group buy for him, he accepted, and so here we are. One additional note: I may express interest in buying additional chips (following the same group buy rules here as everybody else) -- but I haven't decided yet.

I didn't hit Powerball when it got big, but god those are beautiful chips. GLWS and congrats to whomever gets ahold of these beauties!

I'm feeling blue, but in the end this has to be the right call with my set. Or part of it.

Those 1 000 will have to stay. Since now I will have one cash and one tourney set, which is enough for me.
And who knows, maybe I will go bonkers with chips again in the future, when my life settles down a little bit.
 
Crap, I can't stand it. Put me down for the rack of 25K's as well if split.

This could be a long expensive day if some one doesn't man up and buy the whole set. :unsure:

Wow, another group buy that I want to shoot myself for missing.

The only negative about this set might be the breakdown, so can you clarify how the @BGinGA add ons will work. If you buy the entire Puggy set, I assume you have first crack at the add ons? (or is it open to anyone who was in a lottery for Puggy's chips) - Do you need to buy all 300 or only 75, or could you choose to buy only 2 racks?

For the love of god, what is going on here?

For a while there, it seemed like there wasn't much interesting available in the classifieds. And then all of a sudden, a bunch of awesome sets have become available, one right after another. TRK Rounders, Tropicana, Deadwoods, the entire "Group Buy" circus, Grand Cardroom, Stardust hoard, and now these (certainly I've missed some).

If I hadn't participated in more than my share of the previous offerings, I'd be all over these. But unfortunately...

Wow, incredible set Pasi. Someone is going to be very lucky to be adding these. Gorgeous!
 
As much as I'd like to add some 5K and 25K to my set, it looks like I'm late to the party

If the Puggy set is sold to a single buyer (lottery selection or otherwise), that buyer will get first crack at the BGinGA add-ons (all sold by the rack, with the exception of the two smaller 75- and 25-chip lots). Same for any accessory add-ons that I might later add to the list, such as dealer buttons, etc.

If the entire Puggy set does not sell to a single buyer, then all chips (Puggy's and BGinGA's) are up for grabs, with the buyers determined by order of interest post. Only caveat is that the BGinGA items are meant to be offered first to the buyers of Puggy's chips (although any items remaining after the group buy ends will likely be offered again in a separate for-sale thread).

In other words, buyers cannot post an interest in ONLY the BGinGA items, at least not at this time. I have only added them here to help sell the main set (or racks, if it ends up getting split).

Really really want, but really really can't afford.

Kinda sad to see one of the all-time sets being broken up, though.
