Yes. Welcome. That is the way the world works. Now that we are all in agreement, the purpose of my comments in this thread were really only intended to help suggest that you consider what role you want to take in this PCF world. As you do have a choice in that matter and that choice can be impacted by your understanding of the dynamics of the community. Seems like you are up to speed and know who you are. Not sure what the point of this continued discussion is beyond that.
I am just curious, but who was publicly shamming you? Seems like the public vitriol came after you made these posts poking at the issues you knew were touchy points.

Tried to keep from responding but here’s what I’ve seen in your short time here.
1) You can’t seemingly take criticism when viewpoints differ from your own.
2) You must have the last word. Do you really need to respond to every post that where you feel “attacked”
3) As mentioned previously, you are playing the role of martyr. Constantly calling people trolls, bullies, assholes, etc when others call out, criticize, or generally question your posts, motives, and intentions.
4) Not following your own advice. This goes back to my second point. If you don’t like the person’s response to you, just scroll on by.
5) Thread crapping someone’s asking price is not allowed in the sale/auction listing. This is a discussion forum, not allowing discussion on pricing outside of the sales forums would be asinine and counter to the spirit of discussion forums.

Had no idea what was going on so I found the thread in question. Far as I can tell all I saw was one guy saying “didn’t you just buy these”? Maybe I missed something but I didn’t see what amounted to “public shaming”.

Dude, we are all just like manatees in a Florida river or wait maybe it’s manatees in an aquarium just swimming around or maybe laying around or crawling (do manatees crawl?) and having a dog time and then whooosh something flies through the water i mean ok it’s not flying but it’s moving through the water like if the water was air it would be flying then, and then it makes you drop your hot dog and run for the door hoping you can make it before the water overtakes you and you have to swim to the edge of the pool or river or lake whatever you are in and then just jump in your car and drive drive drive like a bat out of hell to the front of the line to get your bag of bagels so you don’t end up being late for work. It’s like that see, so it gets complicated fast.

As to your question regarding shaming. Also I was loosing $ at the time in that auction And if I lost I didn't care so much and I'm sure it wouldn't have soared to double profits. If it had the money surely would have been spent on chips here anyway.

Purposeful derail, but this is from the show Justified and it is one of my favorites ever. Based on an Elmore Leonard character, it comes highly recommended by critics, mainly for its fun and witty dialogue. The first 6-7 episodes are "case of the week" until the show got renewed for a second season, which is when it takes off for a series-wide story-line and is great. Check it out.

Yeah, but that is in this thread after you specifically raised the topic, put your opinions out there, and solicited opinions. Not sure why you are shocked that he gave his opinion. Fair game at that point.
And for what it’s worth, I am in complete agreement with @upNdown . He isn’t shaming you. He is giving his opinion on a type of behavior or action here that you specifically asked for. I don’t even necessarily see it as an attack. I would tell you the same, but for the purpose of helping you. This community can be a great place for a lot of different reasons and in different ways. You are allowed to do it but that type of action will turn a lot of people off and close doors for you. Take that for what you will, but it is actually intended out of respect and hope not out of hatred or animosity or anything like that.

Simply a response, that's called discussion.
1. Criticism and personal attacks and/or accusation of wrong doing are different.
2. I didn't know that defending ones self was "Getting the last word".
3. As mentioned earlier, I am no martyr, I've fallen on no sword. I didn't know responding to bullying or personal attacks put my "Motives" in question.
4. Again, I will respond when my ethics or motives are questioned. I have no motives and wont be bullied.
5. Pricing discussions are different than folks accusing one of profiteering.
I'm sure this isn't the "Last word" and that's not what I'm interested in. Everyone should look inward. Any one here can simply "Unwatch" any thread at any time and not feel the need to participate. right? The thread is not forced down anyone's throat. I asked a question about sales and the usual suspects did what they usually do. If you truly "tried not to respond" a simple click on "unwatch" would have solved your problem with me. Participation in someones thread is completely voluntary.

I ended the controversial auction that offended so many and sold the chips at cost to another user. I took the 2 week ban and am fine with it. Just an FYI. no other intention.

I was nice above, and this isn’t mean but it is honest. You post non value add stuff incessantly (pot, kettle). The amount of threads you created for no reason or that belong in places that already exist is massive.
You literally have multiple threads where one of the first comments is, there’s already a thread for this. So as a new member to complain about the usual suspects or the site or members of a site you don’t properly use or understand is beyond bizarre.
That being said, it’s totally with your rights to do. There has been an influx of similar users from the last year, maybe that just comes with the influx of users overall. Just remember, online is hard to understand tone and texture. Honestly, I’d normally guess that you and several of these users are atypical, meaning some form of cognitive/developmental difference. It could also be just that you’re new to the internet. I don’t know, but you’re very far out in left field.
Luckily you don’t appear to be after chips that you’d need to build relationships to get, so this shouldn’t hurt you. Best of luck to you in future endeavors, and maybe just scale back on the repeated postings about every chip activity you engage in.

I've unwatched many threads and no longer get notifications on them, pretty sure that is the whole idea behind the function. Maybe something in your settings? As far as creating threads already being discussed or with what you deem useless, how exactly does that affect anyone that does not interact in the thread? Why not simply not enter the thread? As for your personal assessment of me or my posts, its your right I guess. Why not just put someone you don't care for on your ignore list? problem solved. Why all the confrontation? Left field? That's relative to your position on the field. I hope you figure your settings out.

Unwatching a post means no longer getting new post updates I think. Still notifications for anyone liking or responding directly to you. I don’t know much about computers, but I’d guess it’s something like having a one to many database vs one to one.
How does having an influx of users creating worthless content on a social platform affect other users? I mean, that question answers itself for you. As we see less and less of our value add, solid users’ content, and more bullshit pushed by black holes, whether you engage or not it begins to shift the platform. Sure maybe you make a thread and it dies. But when you make 30 threads in your first month? 3-4 users such as yourself and the front page is shit.
I don’t have a position on care or not care for you, just explaining, I don’t even have a ban list.
Last item was left field. You’re not left field compared to my position, you’re left field compared to the position of users as a whole (as this and multiple threads have made abundantly clear).
There’s nothing wrong with being different! But be inventive, provide value where there isn’t any, something. There’s a difference in being different or having a unique view and simply being a provocateur (many would put asshole).

I was talking to some “important people” and they were saying “important things” that I can’t tell you because you don’t hang out with “important people”. I wish you did, because these are “important things” that is like to talk with somebody else “important”. An auction by you evidently is not a sale. I’m not picking on you, so don’t start the crybaby act, I’m pointing out a shitty sales contract you entered into and then backed out of. No matter how you did it it’s still scum behavior and surprising for someone as upstanding with the law as you. But perhaps “important people” advised you in this or something. But everybody sees how you do business. Have a little tantrum and you’ll just yank it out from under someone.
