They are not. Laclede’s ordered these chips starting in 1994, which was past the time less was allowed in chips for new orders. They are beautiful in person though! GLWAuction.

I had some PCA roulettes that were 100% leaded...the RHC $1 chips (pri & sec) are also textured & leaded.

To be clear, I'd be highly surprised if this did contain lead, since leaded RHC is somewhat unusual. But the confirmation-by-date method is not conclusive in this case, IMO.

GV roulettes are also leaded. I think these are pb-heavy.

In 2007, Paulson made an official statement that from 1998-2006, except for the following colors, all their chips had about 1% lead. These colors had ~47% lead: Blurple, Day green, Fuschia, Indian Blue, Metallic Gold, Metallic Silver.

Internally, it was a lot more complicated. Paulson had an employee walk-out about lead in their chips in 1992, and actually started phasing out lead in 1993. Grey was one of the first colors to lose the lead. The process wasn’t perfected yet, and what any external statements don’t show is that their lead percentages steadily came down from 1993-1998 for most of their colors.

Laclede’s ordered these chips somewhere between 1994-1998. Therefore my statement. Could be wrong, tho.

To expand -- the hotstamp lettering is definitely gold. The pics were taken in indirect natural light, on a red mat.

The Sheraton roulettes TCR sold during the Back to School sale came from Sheraton Casino Robinsonville (that became Tunica Roadhouse in 2010)
Sheraton opened january 94 so chips would have been ordered in 92 or 93.

These are all leaded (11g without label, lime, day blue, canary, maroon, pink)...i will receive some grey ones soon...maybe these are also lighter (hence less/no lead). I'll follow up once I have them. The inlays are also textured...only seen that on PCA $1 RHC chips.

My Mesquite Star RHC chips are 9.4gr ($5), 10gr ($25) & 9.3gr ($100) and not leaded + glossy inlays

Looks like Krish @Windwalker was correct, received the Sheraton grey roulettes and these are leaded with 214gr per barrel (used ones) or almost 11gr/chip.
1993 seems the cut-off for lead in all colors...everything before that is fully loaded...

So even the early batch of textured RHC is not all leaded but PCA $1 & all sheraton roulettes 4 sure are
