I know most of you here are chippers that have no issues at all paying several dollars per chip for your sets. Is there anyone else like me who is bargain hunter trying to figure out how to make a small cash set costing 50-70 cents per chip? The used 1,5, and 25 are certainly a great deal. What are you doing for fracs (5, 10, or 25 cent chips)?

I am using the $25 as a frac for my used primary set. Just buy more $5s and you will never need the $25.

I'm using 25s as fracs, too. I can even use them as 25s years from now if I ever have a game that moves to higher stakes.

Buy the used Horseshoes and find some used solids for around 0.70. Get labels for 0.20/chip and your good to go.

Another idea is very worn solid hotstamp chip - so worn the stamp is not longer visible. Those sell for .50-.60 and would work great for this purpose.

How reliable long term are the unlamented? Also, can the laminated ones be washed/ cleaned?

I was also just thinking about if people put gear unlaminated labels in the ultrasonic or submerged by hand at all.

Did we ever establish if @Gear has the artwork handy to provide labels for these? I'll need 200 frac labels (100 chips x 2... + some spares), exactly as they appear on the chips from the sale (as long as that's legal, I'm clueless as far as that type of stuff), once I find a suitable RHC frac chip to go with my set. Or do I need to provide anything on my end?

Forgive my ignorance - rookie at re-labeling.

I pm’d him regarding that and asked if he would create fracs that look exactly like the inlays on the chips. He has yet to reply so I’m in limbo waiting to place my order until I know if I can get the Frac relabels the way I want them. Hopefully we get a response soon :)

Based on previous work, he will most likely make an inlay that is about 95% identical, but will have one change to make it different enough to prevent any potential legal issues (however unlikely those might be). For example, in the Detroit JACK sale, he changed CASINO to CARD ROOM in one spot for my frac relabels. It's like the tiniest font on the chip and goes completely unnoticed.

Absolutely no clue, but better safe than sorry. Casinos don't really fuck around with fakes, ya know?
Yeah, but these casinos are no more, they have ceased to be, they've expired and gone to meet their maker... these are ex-casinos!

I see what you did there... but yes, you're quite right.

I bought used 5s and 25s to use as 5c and 25c as is for microstake cash games. Man they are in such good shape I'm happy I bought them. They came in today and cant wait to clean them up.

My order finally arrived ! Chips are nice! However my rack of 100$ is missing some chips. Have 96 chips for a rack...

I've got 2 chips missing too.
Secondary $100 seems slightly thicker than other chips. I think that's the root of the problem.

has anyone murdered and relabelled these chips? would be interesting to see if someone applied dark grey/black labels

Think I might be, humming and hawing whether to do that? Or just relabel? Haven't done it before, so not sure if I want to roll the dice on what is likely the most I'll put into a set of chips.

Which chips do you want to see with black labels? I can put a sample one on and send you pictures if I have the ones you’re looking for. The pics will be over labels.
