old hour glass mold cash set.

Tc on one side and denom on the other.

weigh close to 10g each. (one denom slightly over the other 2 slightly under)

I couldn't tell why these looked so good to me when I normally can't stand the hourglass mold. You're exactly right!

These are really nice chips actually. I didnt realize the thing about the outer ring, but these do feel alot nicer than cpcs in my opinion.

Agree on that I normally do not like this mold option from CPC. This one is great looking, never knew this was out there. Too few $1s for my stakes but seems like it would work for a $2/$5 game.

These will go nicely. These were exactly what I was looking for when I had those Mapes 5's and 25's. I could not shake any "out of the trees" so I abandoned that project

Big difference in appearance between the MD-80 and the MD-80a (which CPC carries). I much prefer the MD-80.

MD-80a is the hourglass equivalent of RHC

Valid point on the potential for a dirty stack. 2nd chip down from the top is a red $25 in both stacks.

I had this exact same reaction. The older ones with the ring look so much better than the newer ones without. Little details make such a difference.

That's a great-looking set. Absolutely ripe for murder and relabeling...

Had to be Burt Company and/or ASM; Robert Eisenstadt's page says that MD-80a was made by ASM "to replace" MD-80, so MD-80 must have been an ASM mold, which means it would have been a Burt Co mold before that. I think Burt Co were the only ones making clay poker chips for a while, but I'm not positive.
