Thoughts on Sample Sets for Chips and Accessories for your own Custom Set (2 Viewers)

Like a kid impatiently waiting for Christmas in November this what I feel like as I know my CPC will start getting produced most likely in April if not May. I decided to put all my chips together in a mugshot lineup. This will be the Complete lineup by the end of the year below. The 50C, $2, and $100 will be new additions at the end of the year to the cash set. When I do the new Denoms I will get extras made for everyone who got a sample here and just send them out so everyone has a complete sample set. All I may do is hit you up for your address again if I cannot find it then. I'll add more $5's for sure and probably more $1's.

Once I hear from CPC production is going I'll start to collect payments for Chips and Accessories and get addresses.
 
I was speaking to David Spragg from CPC and it looks they are backlogged quite a few weeks on Chip Production so my chips may not be done in April. In the meantime he said I could add on right now to my set because of the delay there is still time now. The next run because of the Delays of HHR will not be until 2021. Some new chip mock-ups I did below are highlighted. I already know the the 50C and $2 which I designed before will get added to the current set. On the $100, $500, $1000 cash chip I know they would not get much play but they more would be show pieces so I can have a full casino lineup of chips. I would get like 50 each of the denominations of the 100, 500, 1000 so I could have liek 30 each in my set and 20 for the samples. What do you guys think of adding $100s, $500s, and the $1000s?

The Question I have for you all if you are going to have a 25C 50C game or a $1 to $2 game what is a good number of $5 chips to have? 200? 300? More? My current order only had 100 $5's and I knew I was going to add more $5s on the second run of the year when I placed the order. Now I can add $5's and am trying to figure how many $5s would be good. Then I'll figure out what other denoms to add in addition to the 5's for now.

Did he happen to indicate the current mold order? I'm trying not to keep harassing him because I won't be able to use the chips for a while anyway, but I feel like my CSQ order is probably delayed further. But I also thought CSQ was running currently or next, before HHR.

I think 40-60 workhorse chips per player is the butter zone for me, but I tend to like bigger stacks. 20-30 per player would be about the bare minimum to me.

I consider the single the "workhorse chip" for any fractional blinds and the five for 1-2 and up. 1-1 (or 0.50-1) is kind of a gray area to me but I tend to tilt toward getting more fives in play and doing small quantities of the two smaller chips.

Assuming a 1000 chip set for 10 players, I would do 100/400/400/80/20 of 0.25/1/5/25/100
If thinking more like a 600 chip set go with 100/200/200/80/20. You might also consider making 0.50 chips instead of 0.25 (meaning you would spread 0.50-0.50 instead of 0.25-0.50) and you can get away with even fewer fracs. 60/140/300/80/20 or 60/200/240/80/20 of 0.50/1/5/25/100.

I only asked David about the HHR molds, but he did indicate to me they are still working on fulfilling orders from Months ago and said he estimates the backlog is 6-8 weeks for my mold..

I ended up asking him and got the same 6-8 week answer for CSQ.

Hi Guys I just heard back after asking David when the HHR is going run. Because of the Delays my Chips will hopefully will run at the end of June. What was supposed to be April turned to the end of June. Oh well nothing anyone could do because of this Virus. The good thing to come out of it is I was able to add a new 50C Denomination chip and a new $2 Denomination chip to my set. I also added 100 more $5 chips. So the two new denominations will be added to your samples. David let me add more chips to my order because the next run of HHR will run in 2021 in who knows what month now. The Bad news is I spent about $700 I wasn't planning on spending at this time for more chips. Oh well. This is why I didn't want to collect payments up front because I didn't know how long it would take to have my chips in my hand. Thanks for the Patience.

Absolutely love a $2 always!! Congratulations on the add!! Its part of the hobby that we spend money we weren't planning on! Lol

I placed my CSQ order on January 27, so at least you know you'll get them before me! Let me know when you get your shipping notification so I know when to start obsessing about mine :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

Unfortunately I have no idea when that will be. I haven't got any solid ETA's, no idea when that mold is even scheduled to run.

i am cautiously optimistic that it is running now or next, but i'm too afraid to ask and get another 6-8 weeks estimate.
 
Hi everyone I know it's been a while, but I spoke to David Spragg Yesterday. The HHR Mold Production has began. They started Producing the chips on Thursday. With a little over 30,000 chips running in the mold he said it will take at least 3 months for the full run to complete as they are only allowed 4 people to work in their factory at a time. He said if he had to guess mine would probably get made in the middle of run. So I'm thinking close to the end of September. I know some of you have been waiting for a while for these samples and accessories. They are almost here.

Also unlike before I have enough Bounties where everyone who got a sample on here will get a bounty.

Glad to hear it’s running! I make up about 700ish of those 30,000. Just gonna hope for October and be pleasantly surprised if they come earlier.

Yes I emailed David every few months to see what the schedule is like for my mold. Mine were supposed to be originally printed in April/May. I emailed him then and then was told maybe July. So in the end of June I was told 4-6 maybe weeks so I just emailed him last week and found the HHR molds had started..

right, but CSQ has been running since june. so my assumption was that if HHR is now running, it replaced CSQ. but maybe not, because today he told me my chips are "half done" - i'm not really sure what that entails, so i will continue to try (unsuccessfully) to be patient. :banghead: maybe HHR replaced the plain mold.

I think that means the chips have been pressed but still need to be lathed. Like the chips seen here: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/chip-making-process-pictures.23306/post-433162
 
Hi guys I got a very pleasant Email this morning in my inbox. The Scheduled delivery is for Tuesday!!! I'll be sorting everything out and getting Pr0n pictures next and will then create PM groups about the sample sets and accessories. Each Sample set will include 6 Cash Chip Samples and 5 Tournament Chip Samples + 1 Bounty Chip. The cost of the Sample w/Bounty will be $25 + 5 for shipping. This will include any future denoms I add on in the future I will just mail you the add-ons.(I was thinking of adding on a $100 denom down the road). I know with @timinater, who the awesome designer of this set, I was going to send him a free sample, but he decided he would swap sample sets of his set with mine. @PrOnAddict I got you covered on a full sample with all accessories since you were so generous to me in the past. Now is t he time for Payback I know some of you also got some of the accessories with your samples and I will contact you also separately. I think @ChipFinderSK wanted only the DBs and High Hand Plaque I have those in hand so I will PM you separately. I will contact everyone in a PM group chat mail or individually this coming week or the next.

Since it was a very long time since this original thread where these samples and accessories were posted I won't hold anyone to their sample & accessory interest order so please let me know ASAP if you no longer want your sample. This delay was beyond anyone's control and I didn't want to have anyone feel obligated to get a sample if they don't want one now. Below are the names of the people I had on my spreadsheet.

Love the muck up. Can I customize? I would like solid 1 and 2.50 chips and 100s white (like 1s).
 
Ok, maybe I did not get something..... Is it private personalized project or rather CPC offer like Rounders and Chesterfield Club?
