Meh white stars or color matched stars IMO. The blue stars get lost against the black.

Tommy, have you printed these out and viewed them on chips -- at a distance on the felt, like across the table? I have a feeling that all you're gonna see is BROKEN BELL, the denomination, and the liberty bell. If that's the case, I'd ditch both the 1776 ~and~ the city/state text. No sense in wasting real estate on stuff you can't see.....

Changed my mind and luv the hundo with mandarin red. To make it work though, I think dg pink on 500 needs to change to something like bright white, dg green, or dg peach.

I get the blue stars and think I would keep them as part of the patriotic theme (red, white, blue). I like the black inlay so this seems like logical combo (blue or red text is too much). Intricate inlay is still balanced so I like it as is. Players don't need to see every detail from across the table. They can view them up close if they don't go broke.

HHR with 1" inlays works pretty well.

I am pretty much in agreement with courage except I still love the arc yellow spot. Every other chip has a spot that "pops" and to me the out of these two the arc yellow does it.......that said I could easily get behind retro red for the spot on the hundo, i have two sample sets and I think it just stands out much better against black when i sandwich it between two black chips. Of course there is a lot of love for mandarin around here so I am sure I am in the minority here. I don't dislike MR...just RR better

For those reasons, I was initially drawn to the $100 with the orange spot.

But I've swapped. I really like the $100 with the red spot. YUMMY

EDIT: They're both really great. Can't go wrong.

The issue is online the red looks very muted. Any idea how much better in person?

Voted for Arc Yellow. It will be easier to see and it pops. However, Mandarin Red looks pretty good too. If a subdued look is desired, then I would vote for the red.

As I was doing my nightly search of silver strikes on eBay, I saw several that would work pretty well as bounty chips for your customs, @Tommy! Pretty neat strikes, I thought. There were a bunch, but here are a couple examples:

Each has its place, but I very, very often prefer retro red when choosing among reds.

Retro Red = Zinfandel. Mandarin Red = Cabernet. Red = Pinot.

Like the 25, 500, and the 5k. The 100 and 1k feel off to me. Definitely like the one-color 614's!

Thx .Been trying to use colors that are not too bright for this set. My 1K and 5K were based off of these chips. I used Orange instead of DG Tiger.

I guess if I replace the butterscotch on the T100 with a red, it is pretty all of them.

Now i'm just having fun. This would be too costly. Not a fan of the spots on the 500 and 1000 either.

If the goal was to keep the "pop" down and stay true to your mock up, the more I looked at it and thought about it there were two changes that I would make to post 51..

- Change the denom on the 1k to orange instead of white (which I can't do)
- Tweak the black chip away from brownish spots (which I did do)

With that said, there were some other combinations I tried that ventured further from your mock-ups in 51. I really like the 5k in this one.

This is probably my favorite lineup of all the ones I tried, but it only retains your original 25.

This is the first lineup I tried. I like the idea of mimicking the Aviation Club 25, but I also really like the hundo w/red spots; the maroon-to-mandarin spot progression just didn't work for me so I ultimately went back to your base 25. Regardless, this was the starting point.
