The Zombies and I were playing Pineapple @ S&P.

Gotcha.

I played a few dozen rounds of each (regular and Pineapple) last night. I think I'm getting the hang of it now, though I'm not quite ready for high stakes OFCP yet :)

So when you guys were playing, is there just a set amount of money per point? Like $0.25 or $1.00?

For learning, $0.05 is safe. @Mr. Cheese and I were teaching some players at that level, and they wanted to raise the stakes to $0.25. They went from losing $5 in a night to $75 very quickly. For cash play, a quarter a point is about right (IMHO).

So you're saying I now have a reason to get a rack of $0.05 chips. Thanks!

I found that smart play makes the game pretty balanced. Players that reach for fantasyland see much bigger swings in variance. I currently figure about a 20 point per hour variance to be fair to calculate swings, then figure out how long you intend to play and solve for X.

Everyone was new to OFCP at S@P (except maybe inca) and we played for 25¢ a point. We later played at the "one-ring circus" table as none of us are really wild enough for the big-kids circus table.

I often wonder how what level I could play this if it were in a casino. Note, the rake would have to be awful with 3 players to a dealer, so the points would have to be quite high to bring the rake % down.

Seems to me you can't play Pineapple with 4 players (not enough cards), so at least some of the time at S@P3 we were playing regular, no?

In any case, I'm with the crowd, Pineapple is far superior to regular. If you really wanna see some variance, play the low-in-the-middle version. I think it's easier to avoid fouling, and lets you swing for the fences in terms of things like trips on the top row, etc.

So I guess I shouldn't expect to be able to stay in fantasy land four hands in a row too often?

Yes, we started with regular while at 4 players. Pineapple occurred very late. It wasn't until we got home and Mrs Zombie and I started playing some that I really fell in love with pineapple.

I'm pcfdonkey on the pineapple app. Hit me up for a game anyone. No money involved. Just for fun

I just downloaded the app. User name is krafticus . I'll play around with it today, but usually available

I feel the same way - I would rather have fun with it at a Meet Up or other event and not burn out online.

I downloaded Spicy Pineapple, the iOS app. It is duplicate ofcp pineapple only. Is there an iOS app for heads up or three handed ofcp pineapple?

Maybe its been posted somewhere, but even Google can't help me.

Anyone have a "Hand value and scoring" sheet.

I'd like to print something up before the Alamo.

Anyone playing on Android? I would like to learn this game and looking for a decent app.
