Simple and short answer - OTHER. (Copags are garbage - they fade really fast. Kems are expensive and susceptible to warping but YMMV). Poker vs bridge is all personal preference.
Desjgn are a really nice card to go with and just about everybody here likes them. I also like Broken Arrow. Fourniers are also nice but hard to source here in the US. Bicycle Prestige used to be a rebranded Fournier but now they come out of China. This forum has a love hate relationship with Faded Spade for stiffness so I'd pass on them if you hand shuffle the cards. I've been seeing a lot of positive feedback on Lot Fancy and they're cheap. Modiano Platinums are really nice but hard to source and they only come in Poker size. Angel's are really nice but the only source is Amazon.jp.
Just start with Desjgn and go from there.
The copag made in Turnhout (Cartamundi) are MUCH better then the Brazilian version IMHO...much much better.I belive Copag Exports are still premium quality
Got a link to those? The copag made in Turnhout (Cartamundi) are MUCH better then the Brazilian version IMHO...much much better.
Dix tought so too...hence the PokahWonka cards (same stock)...and think @JMC9389 liked them too

I never critique cards based on fading because I’ve rarely used a deck long enough for them to fade - I rotate a lot of setups and get rid of them quickly.Simple and short answer - OTHER. Opinion? For the record, Bicycle Prestige are Fournier made, as per the recent packaging. It's now written explicitly on the boxes. I received these from eBay today

That's interesting. Here in the US almost all Bicycle Prestige are made in China and come in the typical two piece black box. I saw the eBay source and it looks like they ship from Lithuania. It would be interesting to compare the two versions. I wish they'd produce bridge size. Four decks for $36 shipped is a good deal for Fournier made cards. I'm in for a 4 deck set.For the record, Bicycle Prestige are Fournier made, as per the recent packaging. It's now written explicitly on the boxes. I received these from eBay today

Check the silver band around the box. On mine, it states "Packaging made in China. Cards manufactured in Spain. Assembled in USA."That's interesting. My review from 2016. I'll have to open a deck of the new ones to see if anything has changed other than the packaging.Opinion?
Durability and resistance to marking. Poker requires it. Even casinos, which use paper cards for blackjack and other table games, always use plastic on the poker tables. So as a newbie and a previous magician, I find it odd seeing a lot of plastic cards vs paper cards (like Bicycle or Tally Ho’s). Whats the benefit in plastic - we avoided plastic at all costs in magic due to cards sticking and not shuffling great
Thank you, I never thought about that! Now that makes senseDurability and resistance to marking. Poker requires it. Even casinos, which use paper cards for blackjack and other table games, always use plastic on the poker tables.
