Just wait. One day your eyes will go bad and you’ll be begging for poker index, 4-color decks!Bridge or bust

Well well... We have a art critic...I don’t care for bridge size with the jumbo index. It reduces the size of the face cards too much in my opinion. I like seeing the artwork on the face cards.
I agree in regard to Desjgn cards, standard index looks betterI don’t care for bridge size with the jumbo index. It reduces the size of the face cards too much in my opinion. I like seeing the artwork on the face cards.
Simple and short answer - OTHER. (Copags are garbage - they fade really fast. Kems are expensive and susceptible to warping but YMMV). Poker vs bridge is all personal preference.Simple and short questions, COPAG, KEM or other cards?; Poker size or bridge?
Pretty much my conclusion however I on the other side of Atlantic so Modiano Platinium, Fournier and Dal negro are easier to sourceSimple and short answer - OTHER. Desjgn are a really nice card to go with and just about everybody here likes them. I also like Broken Arrow. Fourniers are also nice but hard to source here in the US. Bicycle Prestige used to be a rebranded Fournier but now they come out of China. This forum has a love hate relationship with Faded Spade for stiffness so I'd pass on them if you hand shuffle the cards. I've been seeing a lot of positive feedback on Lot Fancy and they're cheap. Modiano Platinums are really nice but hard to source and they only come in Poker size. Angel's are really nice but the only source is Amazon.jp.
Just start with Desjgn and go from there.
If you like jumbo / bridge combination you must try Dal Negro Grand Slam. Absolutely lovely cardsI am team bridge jumbo. Bridge is easier to shuffle, especially if you have less experienced shufflers self dealing. Also takes up less space on the board. Jumbo is easier for everyone to read, especially across the table. I find DesgJn's standard index to be like a semi jumbo and like it fine.
Caution on Copags if you have never handled them. A select few of us have a gene (it seems) that makes us ultra sensitive to the smell. I cannot play with them without getting headaches. Smell does not seem to fade with time.
My preference is for DesgJn and Modianos/Davinci. I find the budget plastic cards from Broken Arrow and the "Classic" ones sold by thepokerstore to be acceptable too.
I do not like how Faded Spades handle. I am a competent shuffler but kept spilling the deck.
At the risk of getting myself banned, I am also fine with a fresh deck of good paper cards. Wish you could get Bee in jumbo bridge.
+1 Dal Negro. Modiano is also nice.If you like jumbo / bridge combination you must try Dal Negro Grand Slam. Absolutely lovely cards
Modiano in bridge size looks quite peculiar, font is sort of deformed+1 Dal Negro. Modiano is also nice.
I haven’t tried the “newer” card companies like desjn and faded spade. How do they compare?
I had not heard of this and had to do a little digging. This thread summarizes the issue:I would not buy from a vendor that defrauded this community.
+1 on the copag smell gene... Also don't like their level of top card float which also drives me nuts.I am team bridge jumbo. @surfik thanks for the recommendation and sale of Dal Negro cards. Played with them tonight (not poker, just cards with the family). They are great! Might be my new favorite cards. If you like jumbo / bridge combination you must try Dal Negro Grand Slam. Absolutely lovely cards
