So, we have seen the samples that arrived at Atomik Toaster's place today (see Blades Samples and Sundries thread). I therefore expected that I would still have a few more weeks to wait. However, I arrived home at 5:05pm today and found this at the door.

So, what is the significance of my being so specific about my timing? The post office (just around the corner), closes at 5:00pm. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! The item was ready for pick up AFTER 4pm. I was not home until after 5:00pm. Stupid work. However, a sleepless night is all that stands between me and what I have every reason to believe are my Blades chips. Unless anyone else knows of another 'J Willette'.

The post office opens at 9:00am on Saturdays. I will be there several minutes earlier.

Therefore, unless there is some horrible mix-up, there shall be much Blades pron this weekend.

Erm, wow, wow, wow. They have arrived!!!. I have taken some quick pics, had a fondle (or two), and now have to go to my little bloke's Kindy party confused. What we do for our kids. When I get back in a couple of hours, will oil a couple and do more pics of course. In the meantime, enjoy .

@David Spragg You guys are beyond awesome. These chips are fantastic and the '007', wow. The cross-hatching gives it an almost liquid effect . I hope you had one sent to you mate. If not, let me know .

I know right. I had no idea they were even inbound, so it was a real surprise . Somehow, apart from making CPC (ASM) live again, they can orchestrate simultaneous delivery in two hemispheres .

At the risk of being slammed for adding a reply without chips -

Here in the back woods of Queeeenslaaand maate, we don't have daylight saving - so it is still over an hour to go. Apparently our government, many moons ago, decided to listen to people who said;

"I don't want day-light saving, it will fade the curtains";

"It will confuse the cows and upset their milking"; and,

"We don't want an extra hour in the day, as it is long enough!"

Smart state indeed .

My next reply will have chips . if the post office has them.

A few more ... hopefully get some oiled pics soon.

I made the box for my PGI China Clay "Phantom's" set. The 'Good Mark' is on the lid. It was my first attempt at wood work and I still have to clean up the hinges, but it fits the Blades chips perfectly. I will remove the Good Sign and replace with 'BLADES'.

Do you have any oil for them? I got Parafin oil from woolies which is the same as mineral oil.

There is a ton of great sets on PCF. This might be my favorite. My son and I are huge bond fans. Although we have never read the books. I think I'm going to have to start them.

We recently started re-watching all the Bond movies starting with the first one. We will watch them in order (again).

It does look cool, I am so happy how it turned out. The CPC crew did an amazing job of making sure they all lined up. I bet they hate me right now. Having said that, they have done an amazing job in general with how the inlay are placed. I have newfound understanding and greater repsect for what they do and why the chips cost what they do. Great work by CPC .

Haha. Funny you should say that, I started inching towards the design tool again . Are we never satisifed ? Hmm, perhaps Casino Royale-inspired chips, on FDL , or Queens Club (Jamaica) from Dr No... I could use a much larger range of less-conservative colours ...

I am really loving the 100. The maroon on white is just ... wow. Man, a barrel of the 500s though ... love those spots. The 007.
