Either way it’s a good deal but I bought 121 of these on eBay for $110 shipped? Are they live? $5 Tropicana chips all baseball stadiums and in VGC maybe uncirculated. Edit definitely not uncirculated.

Is Tropicana Field THAT much of a dump/cave that Paulson elected to just put a picture of a baseball as the inlay rather than marring the chips with an image of the stadium itself? Lol.

Half of the ones shown are closed and/or renamed. Shea, Turner, Metrodome, Qualcomm, Enron...

Still, cool chips.

You planning on keeping them, or trading them in if live?

I don't know. They are in really good shape but I'd need more for our games and they are like $8 each on eBay. I am thinking they are live, I have no idea why they wouldn't be.

Find a good PCFer who is going to be in Vegas and send 1 chip to him/her. If they can cash it for face value, sounds like you scored

Yep! It’ll make a great display for your basement!

Unfortunately, those are long obsolete and not cashable.

Would be profitable to put together complete sets (if you have all of them) and flip them.

I'd love a Safeco if you split them up.

Wow that is a bummer. I was thinking in terms of Atlantic City but I guess in Vegas you can just declare chips from an open casino as obsolete. Oh well I don’t know when I’d have cashed them anyway.

If I had a time machine I would go and buy all of the limited edition chips currently for sale at twenty cents on the dollar and go back twenty years and cash them in. :)

But with the price of time machines these days, you’d be lucky to break even on the venture.

in for Turner Field (now Georgia State University Stadium, go Panthers!) if split or spare. I'd pay $5 shipped for the one chip.

Looks like a solid score! Grats.

These are two sided chips - one side for the stadium and the other side is a generic baseball.

These sell from time to time in full sets on eBay. < Singles as well > 30 chips in a set, one for each team. Prices go from $120 to $150 per set, or $4 to $5 per chip.

If you got full sets in the mix of chips it will be better than having many duplicates of a few chips and many missing chips. It can take years to move a bulk of chips one at a time as single chips

It is claimed these were a "limited edition" with 500 chips for each stadium/team. I didn't do any research to verify this, just passing along the story, I wonder if these chips never were intended to go into play. I don't recall ever seeing casino used versions for sale.

I have a complete set hanging on my wall -=- DrStrange

I know I am missing Wrigley and Fenway probably most valuable and I have several doubles and triples (no pun intended). Mine look like some have light casino use.

I was going to post that I'd be interested in any dupes of Yankee Stadium, but I'm really trying to get out of the singles collecting game.
