i have been playing poker for ohhhh 20 years or so.... been to many home games.... casinos.... bought a couple metallic case plastic chips sets... why, in each set do they sell dice? what is the point of the dice in a poker set ? i have never seen them used. i did buy some chips a while back, and the seller sent dice as a nice top up to the sale... they are sharp fancy dice..... why tho?

The mass produced cheep China man sets probably do it as a cheap accessory to make it look more appealing with their nasty bland chips. Dice and chips are used in craps. This is my opinion and has no weight here.

Curious to find others thoughts not thots.

ya, i was wondering if USA home games used the dice for something canadians didnt know about ...

I don't think so. If there is I don't know about it. I play dice games like LRC and 10,000 but a chip set wouldn't make sense and 2 dice isn't enough.

I play dice games like LRC

Chris what stakes do you play LCR? I've played $1 games with 4 chips to each Player but then the degens in the group side bet on horses for big bucks. Also we make it a drinking game when people role CCC LLL or RRR. An LCR roll gets a group chant.

With my immediate family 4 quarters, with degen friends 3 $1 chips

I just bought a stick of dice today as we play a horse racing game with dice and chips. I have 400 chips we use (300 .25’s and 100 $1’s). Not sure why they would have a set of dice in a traditional cash poker set though. There is a dice poker game but it uses a special set of dice.

I like accessorizing with dice from casinos , also ashtrays, matches, tokens etc....

Because those aluminum cases are actually 'casino gaming sets', not 'poker chip sets' -- theoretically containing everything one would need to play a variety of different casino games. Cards, dice, buttons/lammers, and chips, allowing the user to play craps, blackjack, baccarat, poker, and/or roulette (if you have a wheel).

Throwing dice has traditionally been a cheap/easy/convenient way to get one’s gamble on.

Chip snobs seem to prefer flippaments these days.
