Hi!

I'm organizing my first home tournament for eight players, starting stacks 20 000.

What kind of blind level jumps/skips would you recommend if some players are eliminated quickly? I would like to maintain a good rhythm for the game and be a fair host.

I appreciate all your help! :)

I’d 100% recommend you do not do this. But if you decide to, make sure you have it written out and posted, exactly what you plan to do.
“If X players are eliminated before level Y, we will skip levels and move directly to level Z”
A tournament director should never have the discretion to change the format once people have bought in. And if the host/TD is a player in the tournament, it would be egregious.

Only time I've ever even considered messing with blind structure like this was TDing a freeroll with my set for a friend's hobby club and the club's organiser neglected to mention they needed to be out of the venue waaaaay earlier than first proposed until play was underway - i.e where it wasn't my fault. Other than that sort of thing, pretty much no other justification for it.
