Looking for feedback on potentially buying Paulson chips off of FB marketplace. They are retired Paulson casino Resorts Tunica Mississippi chips. He’s selling a lot of 500 chips. 100x$1, 300x$5, 80x$25, and 20x$100.
The $25 chips and $100 are in good condition but the $1 and $5 are not in the best of condition. He’s asking $900usd, I’m from Canada so that would come to about $1250 for me without asking about the price yet. Any thoughts on the price of these and/or if there’s anything out there that would be comparable because I really like the look of these chips. I’ll post some pictures of them.
Thanks!

I think that's normal for Paulsons in that condition. Giant inlays are less desirable because they tend to be more slippery than other Paulson chips, hence <$2 a chip. I think you could find a similar deal in the classifieds but not positive. If you play 1/1 or 1/2 and like them, I say go for it.

Find comparable big inlay sets completed auction on eBay and see if those data points help you push him lower.

He probably thinks "Paulson is premium" and saw other Paulsons on eBay without appreciating the inlay differences.

You probably can get much better set in condition as well at that price point if you are patient and lucky.

if you know any chippers in your area, borrow samples from them if not consider buying some here.

The differences in the feeling of used Paulson and Mint Paulson is huge

It doesn't seem like a very useful breakdown. There's only a single rack of $1s, so is it a set for a $2/5 game? But the total bank is only like $5k, so it's not well suited for that. As far as the price, I'd have a hard time justifying much more than a buck a chip for casino-used giant inlay RHCs.

Thanks for the input, I agree with you. I didn’t have much knowledge of the giant inlet chips
