Thoughts on Resurrection Tournaments (1 Viewer)

I host a 10-man game at my place every 6 weeks or so and I'm looking for some variation. I've played a resurrection game before where the resurrection chip was a starting stack rebuy or 10x the big blind. It was a lot of fun, but the length of the game was unpredictable.

Has anyone played this format with variations that may create a bit more predictability in the length of the tournament or is that really not possible?

It's different. It's a single rebuy, but not time limited. Thus the starting stack or 10x big blind depending on where the blinds are. So, you could have a $10k start stack, get to the final table at $2.5/$5k blinds and "rebuy" for $50k...

Yes, I guess so. Haven't heard it put that way before, but it seems accurate.

That sounds like a long game to me, but could be fun with a good group and structure.
