Alright the chips are unboxed.... unwrapped and racked... Clay snobs look elsewhere... this isn't one of those kind of days! Going to find a way to get them all in the light box and post shortly...

But in the mean time... a curious package shows up... no idea it was coming. And this one almost made the big bearded boy cry again

My very own card! Check that out @DarkHelmet55 !

But the otherside!

It's the details the gave it away! I didn't even need to look who the package was from! @Machine ... brother, the time and effort you put into making that special for me... I am (almost) speechless! I really would rather frame it than put it in my card deck! Down to the 8257 on a 410 sprint car (my favorite sport in the entire world!) Made my face into a cartoon! MCR on my hat (Matt Cambell Racing) That is the coolest damn thing ever man!

Thank you soo very much!! Yet another one of those things you will just simply never forget (I knew it was coming... wet eyes!) My brother Bob!! (He doesn't like using his real name) one of the absolute nicest people I have ever met.... even from you that is just soo freaking awesome!

Dude that was Christmas gift of knowing each other for ten years status... nit a Friday 10/14/22 kind of gift! Haha

Alright... I want to thank @Himewad for allowing a few of us to to join him on purchasing the Latest and Greatest chips from Tina.

And yes these are the ones people are starting to talk about... real textured inlays
20221014_163312.jpg

It is a bubbled texture rather than a cross hatching. But for 40ish cents to your door, good luck finding a better product! Told you guys to lay off the Cards Molds and wait for what's coming!

Weight? Well

I grabbed two chips at random... not bad!

Check out that finish up close!

Unlike another hybrid manufacturer that doesn't always get their labels to lay flat these are all dead flat, no spinners or anything sticking up. The matte finish is wonderful with zero nasty reflections you get from lights on the glossy labels.

Ready to play them! I think it has been over a year since James and I started talking about this one... it was well worth the wait!

@Himewad I can't help myself... I love your NUTS! LMAO

Wow.
I bought these on a whim. I’d played with some relabled ones once before, and kinda fell in love. So nothing here is shocking. But loving them on their own, and seeing how they feel side by side with the old Dunes 43mm is something else entirely. But lo and behold, the sunset beach hold their own surprisingly well.
They’re just a joy to handle. And they sound great. Yeah, the leaded dunes do sound a bit brighter, under scrutiny. And I’ll say that the leaded clay does feel a bit better under scrutiny. And of course a textured shaped inlay will win every time. But the weight difference is barely half a gram apiece.
So yeah, I’ll give the edge to the dunes in every way except color and arguably mold. But my bottom line here is that these chips really are the shit. There’s something about the 43mm IHC mold that gives zero effs about lead. I don’t know what (if anything) I’ll do with these in the future. But they’re worth doing something with, for sure.
Booyah!

It is nice to know that a few times a year, even in 2022, there are still new casinos with new chip racks that provide collectors with new, inlaid, clay, FRACTIONAL chips. (My collecting specialty)

This is an excellent chip, great colors. It is the FIRST inlaid clay frac from Colorado, ever. LOL at the decimal point. It's a quarter of a cent! I'd like to buy a full rack for 25 cents please. In some places, after they catch the error, they whisk the chips off the tables and replace them with something else, the originals never to be seen again.
