I actually took a second go at it with another person who was not going to let on that she was re-shipping. Her reply today:

I saw that add and tried to get them. i live 2 hours away and he would not mail them to me either. I just don't have the chance to go out there. it will literally cost me $105 to drive out there and back. I don't have a prius... I still might do it if i get the chance.
