Hi,

I'm new to the forum and need some help in determining the amounts of chips for a T100 base tournament with 50k starting stacks.

We usually do cash games with 6-10 players and want to switch it up to tournaments.

I can buy a 500pcs complete set with case and choose between the following denominations: 100/500/1000/5000/25000 in increments of 25.

We won't be doing antes, max 2 rebuys within the hour plus an add-on.

The following breakdowns have come across, but I'm still not certain which one to pick. We are all fairly thight players. Not overly loose/aggressive (maybe 1 or 2 are).
10/6/11/2/1
10/4/7/3/1
15/5/6/3/1
10/6/6/3/1

Can someone please reply by telling me how many chips of which denomination I need, totaling to 500? (I know it might be too much, but it is a fixed amount for a good price for nexgen chips here in Holland).
And also what would be the best breakdown to start with a T50k stack?

Thanks in advance!

I have never used this but 10/10/9/7 uses 400 chips with exactly your criteria 10 player T100 50k with two re buy (if you mean two each than you just add a barrell of 25k and your set) Seems to be very efficient with no chips unused (60k colors up all the 100 and 500 chips with 100K for the two rebuys) But like I said I never used this just throwing it out there. Good Luck!

Edit: Just realised you need to buy 500, so add a rack of 25k to get to 500 and now you can run up to 300K (Use the BGinGA 300k breakdown)

So 100 of each T100 through T25k totals 500 and can run you games from T50k to 250K w/two rebuy (300k no rebuy).

T50K 10/10/9/7
T250k 10 x 500/10 x 1000/7 x 5000/8 x 25k (10 players w/ two rebuys)
T300K 10/10/7/10

Too bad you need 500, for T100 50k 400 is perfect if you limit to 2 rebuys.

10 players T100 50k w/2 re buy 400 chips, all chips used

10 Players T500 300k w/ no rebuys all chips used (BGinGA recommended 300k breakdown)

Thanks for the input!

So 100 chips each you say @Darthhoodie?

@Legend5555 makes sense.

Maybe I can bring the starting stack down to 25k or 30k.

I searched the internet and many are saying you don't need as many 500 chips.

Right now I'm leaning towards this:
150 x 100
75 x 500
175 x 1000
75 x 5000
25 x 25000

No 25.000 in a 50.000 starting stack.
I'd go with 10/6/11/7
I'd add per player a 1000 and 5000 chip to color-up the 100 and 500 plus a 25.000 for two players to color-up the 1000.
For 10 players (if increment of 25) :
T100 x 100
T500 x 75
T1000 x 125
T5000 x 75
T25000 x 25
--> 400 chips

No 25.000 in a 50.000 starting stack.
I'd go with 10/6/11/7
I'd add per player a 1000 and 5000 chip to color-up the 100 and 500 plus a 25.000 for two players to color-up the 1000.
Thanks for your input!

10/6/11/7 has crossed my mind as breakdown.

What amount of chips do you suggest for the 500 chipset, considering 6-10 players, max 2 rebuys and an add-on, with 50k starting stack of 10/6/11/7?

As I wrote earlier, it is a fixed 500 pieces set with denominations 100/500/1000/5000/25000 that I can choose from.

125 x 100
75 x 500
175 x 1000
100 x 5000
25 x 25000

This would be the best choice I think, right? To total the 500, with the above mentioned?

Hi,

As I wrote :

T100 x 100
T500 x 75
T1000 x 125
T5000 x 75
T25000 x 25
--> 400 chips

If you want 500 chips, add 25 x 100, 50 x 1000 and 25 x 5000 so that you can cover 2 more players (2 tables of 6-max). So as you wrote. ;-)

Thanks for all your valuable input guys. It is much appreciated. I can go forward with this.

If someone has more input or would like to add something, please do so!

I also see a lot of posts of a T25 tourney.

Is it possible to have a 500 chipset that is able to combine a T25 and T100 tourney, for example if we want to play a T25 tourney one day and a T100 tourney another day?

If so, what would the chip breakdown be for a 500 piece case in increments of 25?
T25 starting stack of 20k: 12/12/5/6/2 (25/100/500/1000/5000), T100 starting stack of 50k: 10/6/11/7 (100/500/1000/5000).

Max 1 rebuy + add on.

Any suggestion is welcome. Also if the starting stacks have to be different. I'm just curious to know if it is possible.

Thanks in advance.
