Has anyone had any problems with storing chips in stacked racks? Maybe 3, 4, or 5 high. I'm wondering if they were stored for long periods of time if the chips in the bottom rack would get damaged from the weight..

I haven't had any problems with a birdcage, five racks high on each side.

I wondered about this myself at one time. I was assured that the pressures used to make the chips is much higher than the force placed on the bottom rack chips, there should never be a problem.

Any casino pros here who know how high they stack chips in the cages or chip bank of a casino?

No problems here I regularly stacked mine 5 or 6 high (what ever the demons are, I never mix stacks) and never had a problem. Though I can't confirm that the chips after being in play would end up on the bottom again. I love racks I will never keep them in cases now.

Same here -- have had some chips stored like this (5 high) for many years, no problems.

Thanks for the replies. I plan to put them all in a barrister bookcase and storing them in racks will look much better.
