Hello

I have a lot of poker chips and i would like to split these into to seperate sets one T5 and T25 or other.
Does anyone have a sugestion on what the best breakdown would be.

What i feel i might be missing is more $100 to make the split ?

Chip count:
$5 - 200
$25 - 400 ( possible 100 extra)
$100 - 200
$500 - 200
$1000 - 145
$5000 - 100

Yes your set is underweight in 100’s and overweight in 500’s. :confused

Why are you splitting?

Good question

I never feel for selling just stockpiling more chips. :ROFLMAO:

I have two other poker sets. +
One project chips set that i have started collecting chip to. and will cost a lot and take time to finish.

My other problem is my socks drawer is filling up with poker chips and my wife will soon find out

I am not sure if i am splitting the set right now but i want the possibility to do so.

So like Mipevi pointed out is that i am missing some $100.
By making two sets it looks like i will need to buy more poker chips.

What i want help to is by making the best breakdown with these chips so i reduce how many more chips i need to buy.

I will try to break this into 3 set (2 T5 STT Set & 1 T25 MTT Set)

Set 1 - extra T500 for 10 rebuy
T5 2K 10/10/7/2
$5 - 100
$25 - 100
$100 - 100
$500 - 60

Set 2 - extra T500 / T1K for 10 rebuy and add on bonus
T5 2K 10/14/6/2
$5 - 100
$25 - 140
$100 - 90
$500 - 60
$1000 - 5

Leaving you with the following :

Chip count:
$25 - 160
$100 - 10
$500 - 80
$1000 - 140
$5000 - 100

I will get another 150 x $100 and add on to the set to make it into a 2 table of T25 10K 8/8/4/7 possible set with the following breakdown with enough spare $5k for rebuy as well

Set 3 - extra T5K for deeper starting stack or Rebuys
T25 10K 8/8/4/7
$25 - 160
$100 - 160
$500 - 80
$1000 - 140
$5000 - 100

If you built a large set you must like them and will likely regret selling them at some point. You could run t5 or t25s with that set but will be light on splitting them in two seperate sets if they match why not just allow yourself to run either t5 or t25 tourneys depending on your interest as a host. Overall you will then not need to buy more chips at all.....however if like you me you keep considering table expansion maybe that extra rack and a bit of 100's will give you total flexibility.

I'm not one to talk though some of my sets have grown metastatically. My HSI's may as well be Tribbles.

Not thinking too hard, so maybe I shouldn't because I'm not thinking about the blinds , sometimes chip up, sometimes rebuys depending on size of game but 10 players

T1000 - T6000 range 10/10/7/x

5 x 100
25 x 120
100 x 100
500 x 100
1000 x 45

T1000 - T50000 range When having this smaller breakdown I like starting stack T10k 8/8/8/5/x, could do 12/7/8/5/x

5 x 100
25 x 120
100 x 100
500 x 100
1000 x 100
5000 x 100

This leaves you with 25 x 160 left over

Solution… get rid of some of your socks

Just sell all the 5s and sell 180 25s. Then you still have a big multi table set. You could probably throw in some 500s into the sale.

I don’t really see the point in also owning t5 tourney chips when you have t25 and t100 covered with the same set.

While it’s kinda cool to have, and yeah.. MOAR CHIPS!

At that point, we are just changing the color of the chips on the table, not really adding any valuable use cases.

If your goal is to create a second set because it’s easier to sell a tourney set than racks, then yeah I get why you want to split it up into a second set, but I would just whittle it down to an still-epic set first by getting rid of the extra fluf.
