Looking for a small cash set, I'm guessing in the range of 500 chips. Something like 100 1's, 300 5's and 100 25's. There was a guy selling the "Big Easy" cruise sets on here, if there is nothing else in that price range/quality I will probably buy that, just looking at my options. I believe the Big Easy were Bud Jones chips and about $300 USD for 500 chips.

Things have finally settled down after the baby (2 months old!) and I'm back to working, lockdown restrictions are being lifted for social gatherings. Looking to grab something in the next month, shipped to Canada. If need be I can get my gf to use paypal, otherwise I do email money transfer.

I’ve got a mixed Bud Jones set with 600 chips I’d be willing to work out a deal on with you.
Let me know!

Those Big Easy are nice, fellow Canuck @allforcharity might still have one.

If you come across a larger set, I may be interested in splitting. Still looking for a clay Cash set myself.

I've recently tried out the Paulson/GPI Promo mold Elite/Monaco chips available via Apache and (barely) used in the PCF marketplace. These are rather nice chips with simple color schemes. They are essentially the same formula as some Paulson chips and have giant inlays. A couple of years back PCF commissioned and sold sets, too! GPI no longer offers the manufacture of these to non-casinos, so supply is drying up. Apache still has some. The cost is a bit above your budget for new, but used could get you there. Certainly worth a sample set.

Thanks for the info, not really my style. So far with whats around I will probably go with the big easy set, they are pretty much the only mid range price chips I've seen on here that are a complete set. Same chips my old casino used, so I know they are tough and stack well to boot. Still open to offers though!

I've found not all chippers like Bud Jones and even among Bud Jones chippers, not all style of Bud Jones chips are acceptable across the board. Now, the Big Easy chips are S2s which, IMO are the best Bud Jones available, but I was warned about Bud Jones before I bought a set. A friend ended up letting me try out his V6's and I didn't like them... extreme suction problem. For *me*, I don't want V6's or V7's. S2s or GTFO. YMMV.

I completely agree with this observation and completely disagree with your preference. Suctiony goodness is what I'm after with BJs (and what I'm after for Bud Jones chips too). V7s are perfection imo, s2s too slippery.

As always, best to get samples.

Yeah. They have a slight recess for the inlay and softness, once the chip get some finger oils on them they can suction together. My casino replaced whatever they had with s2's that had a bigger inlay, but the older chips would stick together and if you flicked in a quick call sometimes multiple would roll off your stack.

In my experience there isn't much hooker juice accumulation for home chips, and BJs are easily washed and cleaned.

My residence, much like my girlfriend is a multipurpose facility. You'd be surprised what goes on in here.

"I'm guessing in the range of 500 chips. Something like 100 1's, 300 5's and 100 25's."

I use almost the same breakdown in my 1/2 games except I go 80 25s and 20 100s.
Not only does it extend the bank a little It is nice from a chipping perspective to get the 100s in play toward the end of the night.
Good luck in your search.

That's what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure if people would want to split off partial racks.

Goddamn I wish people would stop teasing my inbox with giant spreads and massive racks of Paulsons - I don't know what "mid quality" means to you degens, but to me it means 60 cents to a dollar a chip. I'm looking to play poker with the local old farts, not purchase an investment!

I would imagine to some folks mid quality is the "E" class Mercedes :)

I'm leaving this up, but so far I'm 90% sure I'll be getting the big easy chips @ $350 shipped for 500 chips. There have been lots of nice chips, but nothing seems to compare for value vs quality in that price range. Plus they are brand new and unused, the casino never opened!

These... for $450 and you could even possibly semi-customize them with “old farts poker” labels !!!
