Is it easy to ask for chip customisation, when all designs and colouring are already in use? See example below. Just asking.
Forgive me BPTDirector, but can they not just swap the chip design (which is already in use) with the label design (which is also already in use) in the same set? Is it just not a matter of a 'cut and paste' and hit the print button? Like any printer? Surely this simple procedure would revolutionise custom chip orders and would be so simple to do. I can understand having a totally new design created from scratch, but they already have the designs, colour schemes, and labelling all ready to go. Am I missing something?Yes but you need an art file usually in Adobe Illustrator and then you can do anything. There are several designers on this site and a resources thread that will put you in the right direction to finding one to help you.
but can they not just swap the chip design
Who is they? The manufacturer, the seller, the designer?
Yes Machine, I happened to drop the vendor/supplier a quick message last night just to ask the question "is it possible" as a first step. My thinking is they are getting these chips directly from the manufacturer, probably in bulk, and that the manufacture would have the ability to run off a small custom order already having the designs of the chips in house. But I get your point about pricing. Cheersso if you’re saying they as the entity selling a particular chip or set, can’t they just make edits. Some can, however some can’t there are different business models being used. As mentioned BR Pro, can typically deliver faster to custom orders because of the process, Justin’s model is different and I’m sure he happy to make changes upon request but his delivery times will likely be longer, and that is saying nothing of the difference in chips or price.
To directly answer your OP yes it’s easy to ask, and it’s easy enough to make the changes. Have you reached out to anyone yet to inquire?
Yeah... Ina Eramics... from Cheena. lol@BillyPaul
What you are asking depends on who is manufacturing the chips for you and who owns the design.
What the other responders are saying is correct. Sometimes you need your own AI file created to get this done. Or you might have to pay to use someone else’s AI file (or design) that already exists if you get their permission. Sometimes their design and artwork is stored in the data banks of the chip manufacturer and certain chip manufacturers (not all - cpc) deals it out to anyone who wants to use it as if they own it, when they don’t.
There’s one chip manufacturer (and I don’t know for certain how true this is or if they still do this, so I won’t divulge their name here - we will just call them Ina Eramics) that would not honor the ownership of the design and would print it on chips for anyone.
In short, you original post and ask is terribly vague!!! You logic might be spot on depending on who is making your chips and if it is a stock design (credit @andrebttx). But we need more info to give you a clear answer in lieu of giving you multiple scenarios for 20 different manufacturers.
Hence this question…..
You might be able to tag along to someone else's order.I think it's such a small order nobody would be bothered, which I understand. Thanks anyway guys.![]()
It's not a problem improviseallday, I have re-calculated and now know I do not need $25.000 chips. Just more $5.000s and everybody gets more chips. Big stacks looks better-right? It just seems it's such a simple procedure that I am amazed, in todays market, that this is not just a simple click and create system. The chip design is available, and the label is available... just make your chip choice and select your label choice... then press print... simple. They (apparently) put a man on the moon you know, surely this is easier... lolYou might be able to tag along to someone else's order.

Yes Jim, same way when I get on a plane, I want the pilot to do all the flying...It is a simple click-and-create system.
Open the file in Illustrator, make the adjustments you want, export to the desired file type, and send it to the vendor with the rest of your images.
Click, click, click, and it's created.
Sounds like the issue is that you want someone else to do all the clicking and just leave the last click for you.
Totally comparable.Yes Jim, same way when I get on a plane, I want the pilot to do all the flying...![]()
