Paulson 2005 Casino De Isthmus (CDI)
1,100 cash chips available @ $3 a chip
Racks and cage from pics not included
PPF&F (unless buyer covers G&S fees)
Will split as a 500 chip ($1,500) and a 500 to 600 chip set ($1,500 to $1,800)
No rack or barrel splits (except for 100 x $1, which I would split off to sell as a full rack)
Buyer pays full shipping cost and any extras (unless you buy all 1,100 chips, in which case I will include two MFRBs to CONUS).

The two 500 chip sets are $1,500 a piece, broken down as follows:

100 x $0.50
200 x $1
100 x $5
60 x $25
20 x $100
10 x $500
10 x $1,000

But one 600 chip set can be made for $1,800 (by adding the extra rack of $1s for $300).

I chipped these together from a number of different sellers, but for you... the full set is already made and ready to be played!

I am firm on the pricing, which is slightly below my blended cost for these chips. If they don't move fairly quickly on PCF, then I will list on eBay and increase the price just enough to cover my out of pocket cost (but I'd rather see them go to another PCFer).

On condition, I believe many of them have never hit the felt (sold to me as mint and new), but I will call them excellent used or better, sharp/stand on edge. They are beautiful but may vary from chip to chip. My wife was kind enough to snap a few photos today (which are of the actual chips being offered for sale in this listing).

Post dibs in this thread if you want priority.

Thank you all for the PCF love sent my way so far! I look forward to answering any questions you may have about the chips.

Great looking set, something about these colors I just love them. I have the sister set to these! Gorgi chips GLWS

It looks like everyone is pigging out on Jack Detroit and Big Top Poker... and has no room in the budget (or the chip closet) right now.

If only this had been on a THC mold, without Paulson Chips stamped into the edge... because the 05 colors are so vivid and rich. They definitely nailed that aspect of the design. Personally, the $1k is my favorite.

Gorgeous colours, you’ll love them Paulo. My favourite is the $1K chip like Steppenwolf

So I'm new to the higher end chip scene. I'm very interested in a 500 set. My question is, what makes these valued at what they are vs Jacks, vs Horseshoes, etc.. I understand rarity, denomination, are factors. How does this mold compare to that which has the "X's" all around them. Is it aesthetic, or is one better than the other functionality wise (ie: durability, feel, shuffle). Sorry about all the questions lol.

Not dumb at all however questions like this can derail a sales thread so I'll pm you a long version but basically... chips are valued at whatever price supply = demand. If people won't pay the current offer price the price drops, if a ton of people will pay the offer price then people will offer more or sellers will ask for more.

Supply and demand is the generic answer. This RHC mold is considered by some to be less desirable than THC, but there are many beautiful and valuable chips on this mold (including the 05 CDI I have listed here and Jack Detroit chips, which are the latest rage). These are Paulson chips, and the colors are nice and rich. But they are RHC, which makes them more prone to damaged edges if you abuse them. The CDIs also have less variability in the edge spots and are fairly standard colors, and the 2005s have "Paulson Chips" stamped into them, which some chippers don't care for. My understanding is that a lot of chippers look for specific types of colors, edge spots and progressions (from one chip to the next, within the set), and may prefer more variability from one chip to the next. Live play casino chips, 43 mm chips, more unique shaped inlays, and legendary stories may also play a role in what you ascribe value to. But for me, I bought CDIs because that was the chip I had always liked and wanted. I'm selling them because I have too many chips and I like variety. I managed to chip together a mint set of the 98 CDIs (along with a laundry list of others). I can't own it all, or I would keep these too. It's hard to let go of sets you spent a lot of time acquiring piece by piece. But that is also of potential value to a buyer, that you don't have to do the hard part. Unlike most chips you will see come available here, this set is already made.

No worries. Thanks @ReallyGoodUsername.

I've been too busy lately to manage this ad and set up an eBay listing, but my loss is your gain... PRICE REDUCTION... $2.75 a chip for 500 to 600 chip complete sets. Trying not to have to go the eBay route.

@BarrieJ3 do you have your cash set figured out yet?
I did grab one or two sets already. Still trying to figure out if I want to learn more and seek out building my first paulsons over time or pick up a completed set.

I did check it out and contemplate though, thanks for the @!
