I was reading a post on Facebook by a casino consulting ... I yet saw that logo

a few month ago I saw Oasis chips for sale

Never tought they are coming from Jericho in Palestine ... not exactly a location you can associate to casinos!

This casino was in Jericho, in the very heart of Palestine ... and its war: too risky keeping open such a busy casino very next to bombs

Casino was closed for multiple reason, the intifada being one of them. Even when turmoil wasn’t present and posing a risk to the casino, the large drop in patrons resulted in it not being a profitable operation moving forward. In order to keep people coming in, they would need better surrounding political circumstances in order to promote a safer environment. Also, vast majority of those frequenting the casino were a combination of Israeli citizens and tourists, no Palestinians. Palestinians would work there, but it was an unwritten rule that they weren’t allowed to engage in playing at the casino.

Unfortunately, until a solution is found for the conflict in that area, it’ll never be a cohesive and inclusive place for everybody to visit.
