Does anyone spray table topper with Scotchguard? Seems like a smart move.

I did a quick search and saw people mention scotchguarding their speed cloth on poker tables, but I didn't really find mention of scotchguarding or waterproofing toppers/mats.

What material are they generally made of, neoprene?

The neoprene is waterproof already. No need.

How does it deal with staining, when the “water” is beer or hot sauce or whatever?

My cheap topper got a little stained from some whisky “baptizing” it.

My cheap topper got a little stained from some whisky “baptizing” it.

If you clean it right away it won’t stain. If it sits on it for extended period of time it will leave lines where the beer was.

The neoprene is waterproof already. No need.

It may be waterproof, but it's not stain proof. I got something spilled on my PCF mat, and it won't come off. If they can be scotchgarded, I think it would be a good idea.
