So there were ASM and BCC versions of the same mold? I though the machinery and techniques of each company was completely different and thus molds were incompatible? (high temp vs low temp, high pressure vs low pressure).

Or did they just have identical looking molds but for different machinery?

Same mold. It was at ASM first, then ended up at BCC. Diecard is still with CPC. This page has a lot of info on the mold.
