Hi all,

I'm contemplating a micro set for home games and OFCP. I already have a cash set which stays at work where I host.

I recently picked up these vintage UK casino chips and would love to make a small set them them. There are 95 £1 and 3 milled chips.

At home I intend to have a traditional 4 seat card table to play casual poker and open face Chinese with friends.

I'm close to pulling the trigger on 80 white and 100 yellow milled H-molds. This would give me 5p and 25p chips and would suffice for 4 player beginner poker.

The next question is how to acquire labels, does Gear ship to the UK or would stickermule work?

Does anyone have an opinion on mixing molds and labels/inlays in a set?

Lastly after buying the chips (in imperfect quantities) and labels, should I just save for a 300pc CPC set or even a Justin group buy.

I would really love to table the vintage chips though.

Really nice find on those chips.

Check with Gear - if they ship to the UK and you can get the already milled H Molds you'll likely save yourself some money and have a fun project to work on.

If money isn't really an issue, get some new CPC's. But you'll have to wait until they complete a backlog of orders and move the factory to Washington state.

I can't comment on group buys personally.

Ultimately, you've got yourself some lovely chips there and if you're only playing a four handed game, you won't need many chips for an adequate set. If you can get gear labels, I reckon you should get the milled chips - they might also have similar wear to the chips you already have and will blend with the set better.

I'm in contact with Gear and I think I've found a solution. I've picked up 20 or so hot stamped UK chips that I'll likely get milled to play as £5s. That'll give me a nice little heads up hold em, 4 handed (beginner limit) or OFCP set. A perfect CPC can wait a few years or eternity
