So I decided to use my old relabeled chips to make a small cash game set (solid colors only) that can be used with family and kids (mainly as a learning tool set). Problem is trying to figure out a breakdown. Here's what I'd like so any input is appreciated:

4 person set (maybe 5 at most) with a $5 max buyin
5c/10c blinds
other than a few $5 chips, everything small
200-250 chips max
Right now I have 6 brown chips, 10 light blue, and 30 pink chips (pink pictured below)
I want to use the 10 light blue as $1 chips
not going to keep with the increment rule (next chip denom is 4x-5x the size of previous)

Now the 6 brown I thought either $5 chips or $2.50 ? ...if used as $2.50, then I'd get a couple for $5
Pink would be 50c or 25c?

Honestly I have no clue on amount of chips for a small game. I figure total chip pot of under $50 excluding the $5's....I want to keep this super small. Any ideas on denoms and # of chips? I figured 100 for 5c and maybe 40-50 for 25c ...... then do I get some 10c chips too? Normally I don't like a ton of denoms on the table at once but its fine for this set.

breakdown per player
10x 5c = 50c
10x 25c = $2.50
2x $1.00 = $2.00
total $5.00

re-buys can be done with $1 only.

Your total bank for 5 players is:
50x 5c = $2.50
50x 25c = $12.50
20x $1.00 = $20

120 chips = $35

120 chips...... you are saving me money :)

So don't bother with dimes then?

Don't bother with dimes. Might as well make it a full table micro set though, right? Keep 1:1 on the nickels and quarters, but go to a 80 or 100 each (depending if you have full rack OCD). Add singles and 5s or 10s to the appropriate level of bank and total number of chips.

My $10 buy-in beer money micro cash set has a similar breakdown:
100 x 5c
100 x 25c
160 x $1
40 x $10

Somebody has to stand up for "MOAR CHIPS!"

I'm just using up my leftover non-RHC mould chips from the relabels to make a small cash set. Few weeks ago my mother, mother in law, wife, sis in law and daughter were playing for quarters....figured this little set would do the trick. Was going to make 5c matching Aztars for the big set, but I like the idea of having a small case of chips for this (and I have the leftover chips already...well most of them). Need to buy some chips for the nickles.....I'll see what colors are out there to get that match the others :)

no full rack OCD with me..... when I finally get around to posting my Aztar prOn, you'll see what I mean :D

No...... no more chips. I've spent enough :)
Trying to do this for cheap :)

If you are indeed planning on making this a learning tool set, restrict it to just two or three total denominations. Any more than that and it becomes confusing rather than educational.

Ok, so I am thinking 0.05, 0.25, and $1 for three then....the dollars will make good rebuys. I can have $2 starting stacks.
