There are mobile apps to help identify coins and stamps. Are there apps for casino chips?

I have a large collection of chips from several casinos. Just looking at them again after spending years in the closet. Is there an easy way to identify chips that are still honored in the casino?

Looking for what might still be live and honored in a casino, chipguide is probably your best bet as @Nanook said. That said, some of the dates and such there aren't always updated so there might be a few that look like they are live but in reality are not any longer.

As far as an app, I doubt the collector base is big enough (or tech-savvy enough) to bother with having one made (never mind trying to keep it up to date).

Ask here with OK pics and you'll likely get an answer pretty quickly.

This is my favorite scam chip that pops up on fb marketplace. I always pretend I’m interested just to hear the scammers try and tell me that this chip is valuable.

I assume he posted as a joke…right?

Wouldn't that be nice. I don't think that information exists anywhere in the world. Casinos don't post this information on their websites, which makes me crazy. You just have to go in and look at what's on the tables and/or talk to the cage. Chipguide is a good resources for seeing what chips have been issued, but as far as telling what's live? Not so good.
