Welcome, your intro is a similar start to the beginning of my poker hobby. Use the cup as a way to get guys over for poker, play, then watch the game, or watch then play.
 
Welcome. I was once you. Helped post-college roommate start the poker game. Played soccer from middle school to a JV high school season. Left back.
