So, I recently sold the last of my proper sets, and aside from Paulson and CPC sample sets, I'm chipless.

Of course, just as I do that (partially due to lack of use in local games), the dads at my kids' elementary school want to host a $0.10/0.20 cash game next week lol.

If I don't provide chips, we're going to see red/white/blue chips bought at Target or wherever, which is no bueno.

Don't need anything fancy for this group. Ideally, I'd hop in to a Tina group buy, but the game is a week away, so need something more expedited. NYC pickup would be even more ideal.

Anyhow, if there's a cheap ($400 or less) cash set that you're looking to get rid of shortly, please hit me up!

U can also buy a $1/$2 set and play @1/10th value ($1 as 10c)

It will open up more opportunities / options for you
This is the way. I did this for a family game a few months ago, and everyone really enjoyed playing with the higher denomed chips. They bought in for $20 each and I gave them $200 in chips. Then we played $1/2 blinds.

So, how about a leaded clay set that is only slightly over your budget - $449 for 500 chips?

I have a full Isle cash set available, ~1,400 chips $1, $2, $5, $25, $100, $500, $1,000s all available since I just got my first Paulson set! Definitely could work out a deal for at least half of them (~700 chips) or something! PM’d

I have some New China Club cards mold (Tina) chips that have nickles, dimes, quarters, 50¢, and $1/$5/$25/$100 too. ~1000 chips. Been wanting to sell the whole thing for a while to clear some space, glad to split off the smaller denoms for a micro set.

some options there

Go non-denom. Flexible and with really only a couple of colors to deal with (frac and workhorse) they’ll figure it out. Good luck.

Totally!

Wasn't clear in my OP, this is a super casual game and chips can be pretty much anything. Certainly not expecting micro-stakes denoms. Can be solids, tourney, non-denoms, $1/2, whatever.

These would be perfect!

Here is what these "probably" look like. I say probably, because there were multiple versions of a couple of these chips, especially the fracs.

I LOVE this black dime!
