HSI Casino chip quantities (2 Viewers)

I am curious if anyone is aware of the quantity of casino chips that were sold from the HSI sale. Is there 20k chips roughly out there? Is it 100K? I just want to know how tough it will be to slowly build a set.

I’ve had racks of the quarters 3 diff times.

They may not come up publicly, but I can’t imagine it’s all that difficult to pick up a rack privately.

My secondary quarters are probably my priciest rack. Had to ask on a whim if they were for sale.

The primaries are also sensational (not mine)

You won’t have any trouble building an HSI set, and there are so many good options to use for fracs if you can’t find any.

Quarters were used on games that require commission like baccarat and pai gow. Indiana didn’t allow real cash on the games. We used slot tokens for quarters until TITO tickets were introduced and all slot tokens were destroyed. Then we had to use quarter chips. Now Indiana l allows real quarters on the game for commission.

Yeah, sure, with only ~7,000 total fracs out there I'm sure it'll be no problem getting a rack. My experience has been the exact opposite. I gave up and just use $1/$1

And yet, the predecessor to the HSI casino (and the chips that it was based on) was the Horseshoe Baltimore...which used a THC $1.

Strangely, when they made the HSI $1, they they moved to the RHC mold but kept the small 7/8" inlay...unlike the larger inlay of the $5, $25, etc..

I think the 7/8" just looks wrong on an RHC chip with that huge recess. I even tried to get 4 VG condition racks of Horseshoe Baltimore chips to replace the HSI $1 in my set but they are tough to come by in decent condition.
IMO, the THC just looks better in this lineup:

And, to your point, I'm 99.9% sure that at one point they used a Chipco frac alongside RHC. Pretty sure @ParrotheadMZ has some of the Chipco fracs.

I'd have to see a therapists if I had to use a Chipco/RHC mixed set!

I don't like the small label either, on the 1a's I have the full size label. I'd love to post a pic, but, that set is loaned out at the moment.
