Hi,

I'm from San Diego, learned to play poker from my dad when i was 8, loved the game ever since. I actually made an account a little bit ago but didn't have the confidence to post. I found out about this site through Hobbyphilic's YouTube, channel which I found after searching for some quality chips for a home game. I've become obsessed with chips after watching a couple of his videos. I hope to get my hands on some paulsons one day but for now i'm just collecting sample sets. I'd like to meet people and maybe start a home game in my area, if not I can be found at Barona Casino from time to time.

Thanks for reading and any advice in the casino or on which chips i should get in general is greatly appreciated.

Wow, thanks everyone for the welcome! I didn't really expect many if any replies. So thanks again everyone for welcoming me here!

Hey welcome! Wassup @Starlender, does Barona Casino still utilize Paulson chips? Looks like they might have in the past:

The most direct path to getting your hands on Paulson chips is harvesting them from a casino IF available. (Even sweeter if you win at gambling while harvesting.)

No, at least not the chips i've handled on the casino floor, their cousin Casino Sycuan does though. Viejas the other Casino near by switched to ceramic i believe. How does chip harvesting work?

Such a shame about Viejas, I've never played at this casino but I know they used to employ some sweet looking THC Paulsons maybe 15-20 years ago.
Harvesting is basically you purchasing casino chips with the intention of not gambling with them, but rather removing them from casino property for your own use.
Sometimes you are able to buy new, uncirculated $1, $5, etc. chips directly at the cage. If a casino's policy prohibits this, then you need to gamble and glean chips individually while playing at table games. When it's the latter, I try to pocket the chips as discreetly as possible.
