I bought these 10-15 years ago, I think via eBay but I can't find my purchase history (likely used an old account that I no longer access). I definitely did not pay a super premium price for them, and remember feeling like it was an absolute steal for pure clay chips.

They are clay, with no insert, and have "CASINO" stamped around the edge. The center design is a sticker. I’ve seen very very very similar ones, but no exact matches.

The weights are pretty inconsistent...
- $1: 9.56g
- $5: 8.86g
- $25: 9.23g
- $50: 9.61g
- $100: 9.09g

Definitely not clay, and most likely have a metal slug in them. Got a magnet?

I've snapped some and there's nothing on the inside. If not clay then what material is it?

Edit: And they have a unique musky smell, if that helps.

Looks like possible China Clay edges to me…or else cheap plastic sluggos, as already stated.

Maybe they're china clays, or injection molded plastics?

Welcome.
I'm simply amazed how these same chips pop up every week from a new member inquiring about them.
Yes, they were very common in the mid-2000's, and were made of injection molded plastic, and not clay. Theyre often mistaken for Nexgen chips, but are not.
Here is one of the threads that discusses them:

If there’s no metal insert…then imma go with China Clay…could you show a pic of one snapped in half?

Just run-of-the-mill very cheap injection-molded plastic. Search on "casino mold" for more info.

Not clay. See comments above.

@Ruday was looking for some of these in case you wish to part with them. He may have found some by now though.

Yeah that adds up. I wanted to get some $5 (apparently I have only 1 $5 in this set of 600?) to use these in a 1/2 home game but alas, looks like they were a 1-off design of a legacy mold that hasn't been produced in years. Oh well, custom ceramics here I come.

Without any $5s they’re not much use to me. Not sure if they’d be much use to anybody else in these denoms though. No idea how I ended up with a set that starts at $1 and has no $5s. I guess I was thinking I’d use the 25/50 as cents? I don’t know.

I think he was looking to supplement an existing set of these that he has that he used for some type of craps rental business he runs or something like that. He has not been on here since May but maybe he will see the tag and jump on. He is the only one I have ever seen expressing any interest in obtaining more of this type of chip. I will DM him with a link to your thread.
