Hi Everyone. I hope it’s alright to post something like this. I’ve been a member here for several years, and have greatly enjoyed it. I hope a few people here would say I’ve helped them, and given something back to the community. So with that said, I thought I’d take a shot and see if anyone is willing to help out a charity that is close to me.
HCR Cares is a not-for-profit organization who’s main goal is addressing the healthcare worker shortage, with a special focus on communities facing the largest barriers and disparities. They have several great programs, including providing grants to home health aides and LPNs to advance in their careers to become an RN, a model of care training program for the LGBTQ+ community, and a Diverse Care initiative to help African American seniors in poor communities get access to healthcare. HCR Cares is participating in an online event today, called ROC the Day, sponsored by The United Way.
