Hello All, I missed the boat on the GPI Monaco chips (still kicking myself), and I was wondering if anyone has attempted to have a custom set that emulates the style? Or if you know of reliable and reputable custom chip maker that could make them.

If you just want a similar look with a different name and flourish, that would be easy to achieve with ceramic chips. Check out https://brpropoker.com/ and https://www.sunflycasinoequipment.com/
An actual clay chip would look a little different, as your only option is CPC and I don’t think they are currently able to do an inlay quite that large but you can always ask. Expect a much slower turnaround than with ceramics. Check out http://www.classicpokerchips.com/index.htm

Thanks for the reply. I had Br Pro Poker on my list, and was trying to find the design codes. I found the Paulson styles in the resources section under "Tools and References" and then navigated to the "Paulson Chip Design tool" thread and the codes are there.

Thanks for the advice and recommendations. From the sound of it, it will be very possible to replicate the chips.
I would happily pay GPI for a custom set of Monaco chips, I really loved that chip set, but they abandon the BtoC market and the design. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
The Monaco design belongs to Apache Poker Chips, not GPI. Apache bought the chips from GPI for resale on his web site.
That's where you should start if you wish to replicate his design.
I'll look into it and see what kind of information I'll find. So far, everything points to an abandon project that no one seems to have any interest in reviving - though it is worth performing due diligence.
Shouldn't be that hard to just track down a set of them...
Let's see what Apache comes back with. Also, seems like most people are only selling samples or very small cash sets. Based on the classifieds, I'd need to piecemeal several small sets and sample sets for over a year or two to make that happen.

The upside of the Monaco design is the clean, classic inlay and great colors.
The main downside is all white 312 spots. That limitation was set by GPI for this particular product line. The other downside is the giant inlay on a clay chip, which in the opinion of many chippers, myself included, diminishes the advantage of a clay chip. However, I do think they're great looking chips.
If you want to use this design as a jumping off point for some custom chips, I'd bet you can find a designer that can make something cool for you. Then, it's just a matter of whether you go clay (from CPC) or ceramics from any number of vendors.

The white spots and huge inlay are bonuses for me, I love that style.
