Has anyone created, or know the owner of, a Trop $500 label graphic file? Would be interested in relabeling snappers to $500.

I’ve spoken to Chip Vault and he does not have such a file.

Thanks

I made a DB button and recreated the logo in vector from scratch. If you have a pic of a $500 chip or if you know what font is used I could recreate it.

I do not know the font, but it would be this $100 label, sub in a 5 for the 1. Also, I could take my own photo rather than using one from the internet.

I’ve dabbled in Inkscape some on other projects. Do you think it would as simple as cropping the photo to the label, sniping the label, cutting the 1 and inserting a 5?

If you could somehow scan both the $5 and $100 or take a perfect photo from the top, I could trace it for you and add the logo.
I tried looking for the font (looks like some type of Baskerville variant) but couldn't find the exact same one to match it)

My TROP set arrives tomorrow from the US. I'll scan a 5$ and a hundo with the highest DPI possible, and take some close ups as well and will send it to Lopii.
I'd be interested in some 500 labels as well, possibly.

That works for me!

Much appreciated. I’m sure you can do better than my old iPhone ha

Just got the snappers today, was surprised how different they are than the rest of the set. The weight is different, label sizes are different, edges are much sharper, and they seem to have a different material composition for the chip itself.

Glad I only got quotes for the labels, the regular chips are 29.8mm while these are 25mm.

Good luck with the relabel. I'll be following the project if you post updates. In case you're curious, I did a similar relabel. But as you noted, these chips are quite different from the other Trop ones. They are much closer to the Eagle Arubas (which I have also from TCV). Link to my thread and photo of the finished product below.

Snappers have been relabeled. Tried Sticker Mule at 0.97” and learned my lesson. .98 is in fact the size as stated in a different thread elsewhere.

Had them remade locally (cheaper and faster), the end result is not too bad.

Lopii9 was very helpful with the quick turnaround on the label design for $500.

Update: the Sticker Mule’s were ordered at .97” as mentioned above, but didn’t look good at all. After making the above post I grabbed the calipers and the stickers actually arrived at .95”! No wonder it looked so bad.
