These just arrived today from Amazon.

Some thoughts -

1. Price was $14.99 shipping included.

2. No country of origin stated in any packaging but the website of Gem Poker has a .VN designator, leading me to a Vietnamese website. Still, I would wager they're made in China.

3. Shuffles very well. Not at all stiff like some Chinese generic cards. Nice texture as well, as in the cards actually have texture and don't slip and slide all over the place like a lot of Chinese generic PVC cards. The edges have a slightly rough edge to them, a little rougher or thinner and you may be in danger of paper cuts.

4. Comes with a cut card in each deck, so that's a plus.

5. The image you see on Amazon is actually a sort of sleeve that holds 2 separately boxed decks. That's fine with me as in high humidity areas like here, individual packaging of decks has in my experience prevented warping. I do that with my Platinums after I remover them from original packaging to keep them from warping.

6. While durability will be tested later, the price is not bad. Copags going for $21.99 for a 2 deck setup. My current best value for Amazon is probably the 12 decks of Copag Elites for $99,99 which come out to $8.33 a deck. I consider the Elites superior in all ways to standard Copags.

May not be a big deal, but the club inside the spade on the ace of spades is really bothering me, maybe even irrationally so.

I agree, its a cool design, it has a heart, diamond, spad,e and club, but on the :as: it's off-putting
