I have one member blocked. I noticed one day I could not dibs/bid on their sales ad. It was weird because I have had no direct interaction or dealings with this person and very limited and non-controversial comments in any threads they were also commenting in. I have no idea why I was blocked by them and it was not worth the effort to inquire about it.

C'est la vie, but I blocked them for no reason to return the favor...lol.

I block people so I don't accidentally buy from people who seem sketchy. That has saved me from a few pippen situations.
