Everest poker chips China Clays?? (1 Viewer)

Hello fellow pcfeerrs

So like all here I love poker and more I love poker chips. Got the bug about 1 year ago when I sourced my cdi 05 set which I'm still building with 3 successful purchases here. Anyhow I found this 300pc everest set on eBay last year with the intention of re selling it for my poker funds but after I opened one of the stacks I was thrown back with the quality, colours and feel of these chips.

They are 39mm 13g clay chips but not sure if they have the metal insert to give them the weight and they ripple through my fingers beautifully. What surprised me was how the lettering "Everest Poker" has been stamped into the chip. Also what I like is the insert is positioned the same both side and not pissed when you turn the chip over. Alot more effort has been made producing these chips so are they really china clays?

Anyone owned chips like these or where they are from and what they are worth? I paid £35 or $45 for the case and set

Not china clays; they are 13g slugged injection-molded plastic chips. The lettering is part of the mold cavity, not stamped.

Wait until you handle some real premium plastic chips from Bud Jones, Abbiati, Bourgogne et Grasset, and Matsui.
