I’ve been lusting after an Empress set since I missed out on @Psypher1000 ’s 4 years ago and finally pieced this set together recently with my favorite of each denoms. I also realized I have more sets than I get into the rotation for my two games a year and I accidentally bought the $4500 mtb instead of the $2500 one I thought I was going to...oops. So, here they are, great breakdown for any $.25/.50 $.50/1 or small $1/2 game, just add fracs. I have one extra barrel of $100s if the buyer wants them and have some frac options as well.

All chips are in standard Empress worn condition, so fairly rounded, the $25s and $100s are slightly sharper than the $1s and $5s, but they’re all leaded, shaped and textured Casino THCs - the nuts.

200x $1 primary
300x $5 primary
100x $25 orimary
40x $100 secondary (aka best $100 of all time)

$1250 shipped US, PP F&F

will split if necessary and all chips are spoken for at:
$3/ for $1s @DMack (@paul sydney backup)
$1/ for $5s @arch3r
$1.00 for $25s
$6/ for $100s 20 for @Mac128k 20 for @iballman

Not to completely derail thread but are primary or secondary more sought after in this set? Great set OP, GLWS and free bump!

Probably about a wash between the two. Both $1s are great, primary $5s are better but secondaries are also nice (with met gold) but typically in better condition (some mint), better spots on primary $25s but better condition secondaries (although some mint primaries), decent 818 primary $100s but wowzer secondaries (3 versions), both $500 8Vs have fans and detractors, primary $1000s some of the nicest THC chips ever made but secondaries no slouch either (and all mint).

Something for everybody, and not uncommon for people to mix/match the chips they like best with no concern for primary/secondary -- and easier to do than most sets, because both primaries and secondaries saw play in the casino and are in similar condition.

Dunno. Also the case with Casino Aztar Evansville primary/secondary sets, and both $5 chips in the Casino Aztar Caruthersville sets.

Probably just ran short on chips, so cracked open the boxes of backups. Less stringent regulators in Indiana and Missouri than Nevada or New Jersey, that's for sure....

I heard a rumor that around 9:55am on March 20, 2009, someone took a stack of primaries from one table, brought them over to another table and shuffled them in to a stack of secondaries. Can't remember how that story ended tho...
