Explain Like I'm Five // How does these TP chips differ in price so much.

Both are available T500 43mm with similar spot patterns and similar colors.

From my memory, I believe the less expensive version may have been colors not intended for the set those chips belong to. They were then remade in the correct colors.

There have been different versions produced in different quantities over time. Certain sets and certain chips within those sets have had different prices. Someone else probably knows with exactness the different lines and release dates. I only have "VIP" series Tiger chips afaik.

It looks like you are trying to rationalize production costs with final product price costs. These two things have nothing to do with each other here, even though these cost the same to produce.

It’s more like “oh you have lilac” and “WOW!! You have Orchid!!!!!” For these kind of things here.

I agree with the market that the orchid looks better but it looks like its the v1 and Lilac is replacement.

I was being facetious.

I was going to buy another barrel of $500. Now I'm not. So the "you can get it" may not be universally true...

...but I think the initial point of the post was that I didn't understand the disparity in price. The "all is right in the world" only references the relative cost between the two now makes sense to me.

I dont have a sample set but i imagine the orchid pops more than the liliac.

Could be like how the primary 100 pops more than the black ncv because of the orange stripe

This might be a false memory I have of these but I think at IPO people received lilac (or was it orchid) and I think @JeepologyOffroad had requested the amendments. (I can’t remember exactly why) design I’m guessing.
Once the amended chips arrived they were then offered as a swap/replacement if people that had ordered wanted?

Again this is all very vague, so I imagine if that was the case there were a lot of extra lilac chips (or orchid) so the price probably reflected the inventory.

I could have fabricated this up in my head as part of the Tiger Palace lore. But I think as least 30% off this is correct

I think this was a picture @JeepologyOffroad had with the Lilac.

I can actually see the Lilac being the replacement for the orchid based on the colour palette of this set.
